have been told that my claim for compensation is being contested as the delay was caused by an airport worker not disconnecting the fuel line correctly after refuelling. Any comments please0

how do you mean contested?? that does not fall under the "extraordinary circumstances"
which airline is it? and how long was the delay?0 -

Thomas Cook, delayed 8 hours, they are denying responsibility blaming "an airport worker" I have just started proceedings against them in small claims court, and received a letter from them using above excuse0 -

Hi
I have been in correspondence with JetAirways over a claim and sent them a NBA in early December which they acknowledged and promised to respond to but to date I have not yet heard from them again.
I now want to take this further but not sure what to do?
Do I need a solicitor or just fill in a small claims court file?
Can I claim for these costs too?
Thanks0 -
Without being flippant Matt le hat, I suggest you have a good read thru this thread if you are not familiar with small claimsIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Matt: I'd start with the very first post, which links to the MSE article. That should give you a good idea of what the options are, a d what legal action might entail.0 -
