    That's fair enough.

The very fact that you cannot get insurance for the same price as AXA offered explains why they have withdrawn from the business. They were too cheap.

    Isn't true in all cases.

I was replying to walks alot who stated he/she could not find insurance for the same price as AXA had charged.

    got Cleo's rnewal through today.

It is still with AXA and has gone from £11 to £16 per month.

After claiming £2500 for cruciate ligament repair last year I was dreading her renewal but am happy with £16 per month.

Just had the renewal for my 9 yr old cat. Gone up by £1 per month (after almost doubling last year). Still with AXA. I am very relieved!

A friend phoned AXA to query that her renewal was from AXA after receiving a letter advising of the change, he was told that the changeover would be effective from 1 September.

We have four dogs insured with Axa on a lifetime policy. This happened to us before with NIG and although we "won" our claim the compensation barely helped in the end as we had to carry over conditions. This time I thought "Axa, big company, no problem". We have just had our renewal for one of our dogs and it has gone from £37 to £175 a massive 388% increase. I have contacted the ombudsman but while the company had 8 weeks to respond we have had to keep this payment going. My dog needs lifetime medication for her eyes and if we lose this case, goodness knows what will happen. No doubt the other policies will increase too for the other three dogs. My bigtime arguement is when you agree to sign up for a lifetime insurance policy you pay your premiums in good faith. However, you do not expect it to increase by 388%. Eight weeks has passed and I have sent the form back to the Ombudsman but Axa has us by the short and curlies as we have to keep paying the premium whilst the dispute is going through. What if we were pensioners and could not do this. We are managing at the moment but the dog is only 2 years old so where we go from here we just dont know. Axa gas completely ignored any phone calls and just says the complaint dept are very busy. I bet they are!!!
