I make balls based on the size of a teaspoon, and the finished articles are about the size of actual hobnobs, perhaps a tiny bit bigger.
think i get 4 trays of 12 with a few biscuits over not sure how i get that much as i think mine would be about the same size, i can fit 3 trays in the oven and i know i have to use a couple of the trays again0 -
I daren't make any more of Twinks hob-nobs as they just dissappear as soon as they hit the plate .My grandsons all love them, and so do I. I sometimes drizzle a little melted chocolate over the top as well.0

this is the recipe i use
8oz sr flour
8oz sugar
8oz porridge oats
8oz margarine
1tbsp golden syrup
1tbsp hot water
1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

Thanks Twink for a great recipe, I've been lurking on this board for some time and have promised myself to make them and today I finally did it!!
I definitely have a fan as my little 3yr old cousin kept on asking for more and stole one when he was going home. I think I managed about 36 from the mix because my oven is quite hot so I made them big and baked for 10 mins. I don't know how long they will last in my biscuit barrel though?0 -
