I made some hobnobs and put 4 in freezer bags and put them in freezer...got them out and defrosted them for the day and come to eat them like 10 hrs later..and all i tasted was this horrible "ive been in freezer taste" so bad it made me sick.

    why has it done this?

Oh what a shame mumzy. I've not frozen them at all, but I'm pretty sure I remember someone posting that they had frozen the uncooked mixture ( in biscuit size balls) and had then cooked from frozen. I know this works really well with Welsh cakes ( thanks whoever posted that tip:T ) and they don't take any longer to cook from frozen than from fresh.

I find the scottish constitution a lot stronger than most. :D Twink can down a 4p bottle of curry sauce in one gulp. Frozen hobnobs probably taste refreshing to her.

Best to freeze the dough uncooked and then cook them as you need them. HTH
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

thats right Aussielass us scots have strong constitutions :D

i usually freeze my biscuits in an old icecream box maybe because the biscuits dont freeze solid they can absorb flavours from the freezer

see craftscholar and you were going to blame the hobnobs for putting on weight :p

Tesscha i hace never had my biscuits stay long in the tin but should keep a week anyway if its airtight

I freeze mine after baking (hobnobs with chocolate chips) all the time, there's only the two of us so I freeze half the batch to avoid me eating all of them on one go!! I've not had any problems at all, I freeze them in a sealed plasic bag, and usually keep them sealed for a couple of weeks.

Well, I planned to do these yesterday but each batch of chocolate cookies and chocolate muffins I did kept getting feedback that they needed more chocolate, until the third batch when I realised I had been had.

Anyway, made them today, and for revenge for yesterday there won't be many left after everyone else has had tea, delicious twink, thanks for sharing the recipe.
