My DH made some of these today, and got approx 50.
He added a couple of handfuls of mixed fruit in the mix, and i can personally vouch that the ones that got mixed peel in them are delish! Know what I'm having for pudding...
I know last time I made them they didn't last long, so making the most of his baking enthusiasm and may get him to make more..

I can't thank you enough for posting this recipe - they are so yummy - I have had to arm myself with a large stick to beat the kids and hubby to keep them away from the hobnobs while they cool:rotfl: they want to eat them straight from the oven theyare so delish. Again huge thanks.0 -

Managed to get 42 good sized ones from the batch yesterday afternoon. We had some in the evening with a pot of fresh coffee and the remainder are now sitting in a tin and well-hidden in case my grown-up kids arrive:rotfl: !0

Using twink's recipe, I usually add some chopped up glace cherries, some sultanas and a generous handful of seed mix (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame and poppy), which usually makes about 45-55 biscuits. My Dad really loves these and always looks very hopeful when he comes to visit
Have also substituted the cherries and sultanas for chopped up stem ginger which also worked well. Interesting to note the comments about keeping them in plastic containers - I keep mine in a giant Sainburys own Tupperware type box, and usually find they keep for a good two weeks without going stale or soft (although I do like mine slightly squidgy though
) All my storage tins have got craft stuff in them
