angelnikki worked out the price of homemade to be 80p and i got 47 from my batch today suppose i could have got 50 how many were in your two packets?
i usually put dried ginger or cinnamon in mine but if you look back the thread you will get more ideas such as walnuts or almonds, cherries, pieces of preserved ginger, sultanas or raisins, i used treacle today instead of syrup but honey is nice or maple syrup
also look at the list of ingredients in your packet, homemade is usually better0 -
I add cinnamon and mixed spices to mine - smashing
I found that if I used maple syrup or any other type the mixture was too dry but as soon as I went back to ordinary golden syrup the consistency was perfect.0
