Well Twink, I do still have some in the biscuit barrell but that's because no-one knows they are in there (it's the first time I've used it). So I've been helping myself to them as I was left with about 20 of them and quite happy about that! (been munching away)
  • Well, they went down well on boyf's golf trip and he took some into work today and they went like hotcakes!! one of the guys he works with is apparently going to tell his other half and I may have a competition on my hands!! :rotfl:

I usually freeze my biscuits in an old icecream box maybe because the biscuits dont freeze solid they can absorb flavours from the freezer

So if they don't freeze solid how long do you leave them out for before you can eat them Twink?

I don't know how long they will last in my biscuit barrel though?

I keep mine in a biscuit tin (one of those round ones that you get shortbread biscuits etc in at Christmas) and they last at least a week.

I have read somewhere in this thread that if you keep them in a plastic tub ie tupperware or clip lock type thing they go soft.

I added choc chips once but when I poured on the melted marge the choc chips all melted :doh:I added a couple of handfuls of sultanas to the ones in the pic below. nomnomnom :p:D

I always get about 50. I think you need to make them smaller if you're only getting 15! That's probably why they're not cooking properly. I make balls the size of walnuts and then flatten them inbetween my hands. HTH

i think the choc chips should be put in at the very last minute, i did the same, added them with the butter and they melted, i usually add dried ginger to mine but you could add some crystalised or cinnamon

the recipe actually makes 60 it says but i get about 45-50 with mine much less than that and they will be too thick, i like mine a bit browner and crunchy so leave them in a little longer

i think everyone taking them into work should start charging for them :D

sb44 depends how desperate you are, with a hot cup of tea i wouldnt be waiting long after they came out the freezer ;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I made the hobnobs! Just taken them out of oven. The only thing is, I never reckoned on them expanding and they have all joined together into one rectangular, tray sized hobnob!

Anyway, I have just sliced them all into squares, so I'm sure they will be fine.

Can someone tell me how to store them?
