    nice one sandy, i made a batch the other day with treacle and dark brown soft sugar as that was all i had, taste lovely but harder to guess when they were ready bcause the mix was quite dark
  • ok, i'm going to have to make some more today, i'm drooling :drool: over my keyboard! i think mixed fruit in this batch,

    ok, i'm going to have to make some more today, i'm drooling :drool: over my keyboard! i think mixed fruit in this batch,

    i havent added fruit to mine but take care they wont be too sweet

    My son has decided there is something better than hobnobs, undercooked hobnobs, they're still VERY soft, I think they were in for 7 minutes or something, he loves them. I did intend putting them back in (had to dash out so took them out of the oven) but once he tried them he wouldn't let me.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

    oh i am not sure i would like them like that but your son obviously does and you get to save on the electric :D

    I did reduce the sugar in the hobnob recipe, as I found them a bit sweet.

    yes i would cook them for a little less time, its difficult to say a time for everyone because all ovens seem to be a bit different, be a case of trial and error till you get it right, make sure you note how long you keep them in

    i use a metal fish slice to take mine off the tray when they are hot and if i can get the slice under them easily then they are ready
