I tend to make bigger ones, around 30 per batch because I like them cakey. I have continued adding cranberries, but the huge costco bag of them is nearly gone. I have given away so many of them now, I am becoming famous for them and am getting requests for courses etc where people have had them before. my only sadness is that my DS doent like them and prefers muffins, which I'm rubbish at :-(Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0

Off on my hols. tomorrow morning (wet Cornwall
). When I get back, I'm going to experiment with this recipe for my gluten-free hubbie, who should also steer clear of sugar. To make them extra healthy, I'm also going to have a go at substituting the margarine for smooth peanut butter, the syrup for honey, then will use gluten-free flour (which should be fine) and Xylitol sugar substitute (great for the gums/teeth).
I'll try half the amount first ... in case they're revolting!
Will report back on my "healthy" version in a couple of weeks.

Hi MimiJane, my brother is a coeliac and isn't at all sure about the oats. Can your gluten-free OH have oats? Would love to be able to make DB some of these, but don't want to zap him0 -

18? the recipe actually say 60 but like billieboy and others i get about 50, they had gone soft likely as they were too big
just take some mix the size of a walnut shell or slightly bigger
i leave mine in just a bit longer to make sure they are crisp everyones ovens are different though0
