Thanks so much for the recipe Twink. Mine are on the crunchy side but I have always preferred my biscuits on the dark side and actually burn them on purpose. I have to say, they burn well! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm <drools and eats more biscuits>

I love the hobnobs and hubby does too.Today i made some muesli bars , my second lot, the first lot did`nt turn out properly, just a load of crumbs but they were good.Anyway i added a bit more syrup and they`re perfect. The recipe was off these boards somewhere, lol.
Must say the other day i bought a couple of shop bought cakes , tasted false not fresh like homemade.

I made half batch yesterday using wholemeal flour, 1oz sugar, 2 oz marg, squirt of maple syrup, cinnamon....remaining ingredients the same. Found I needed a bit extra water to bring the mix together. they taste just fine, but didn't spead on the tray the way that normal Twinks do, so were a bit thicker and more 'cakey'. but as I only use a coffee spoon to measure them out onto the tray, they were fine. Cut down on fats etc 'cos of diet
Do you think they didn't 'spread' because I used lass fat

that might have been it sandy i have never tried them with less fat, if you used a low fat spread you can bake with, do the normal amount and make the biscuits small, recipe says 60 from a batch, then they shouldnt be too fattening

glad everyone likes them, last batch i did didnt turn out because i wasnt in the mood to bake
