Yes, after reading this thread I did read the T&C's very carefully. The £15 slipped my mind though, but yes I do have a copy of the T&Cs here with me.
Didn't pay by CC, stupid me but I just used the card associated with my bank account (Maestro) which won't offer any protection. Oh well to be fair let's give them the 10 days and see what happens.

Even though this is in the contract it is against the distance selling regulations.
So you should be able to recover any admin charges they levy.
"Should" is the problem - from the experiences posted here they will take the money and leave you to fight them for it back.
You could get round this by telling your credit card company you have lost your card. They will issue you a new one which they won't be able to charge.
I did actually think that that term was an unfair contract term, but didn't want to say it as I am always pointing out unfair terms and I am coming across as a bit of a nutter.
I too agree that getting the money back will be a fight, but only a small one.
I would not inform a credit card company that a card is lost as they will simply allow the charge to the new account.
Debit cards i'm not too sure about. :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
This is a prime example of how automation, whilst great most of the time also has a downside. We as humans are used to human interaction. We're used to having someone actually there at the other end to talk to.
Here you have the order process being entirely automated. The confirmation is automated. THe status page is probably also semi-automated.
People who use automated systems enough think they're a replacement for humans, and expect the rest of us to slow down and reduce our expectations as a result. But human nature isn't like that. Had it been a human manually processing the order and saying ten days for delivery, I'd have no problem. But if it's a machine telling me that, and in this particular case, I get very anxious. The people behind the automation are using it as a shield for reduced responsibility on their part.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -

Hi,
All I can say from my experience is that they're probably no better and no worse than the others who offer 100% cashback.
Read, study & follow TO THE LETTER their T&C's and you should be OK. Watch the bit about submitting your 11th and 12 month bills (if that applies to the deal you're looking at). They MUST be sent in one at a time and NOT together which is outside the T&C's. Always send stuff to them by at least Recorded Delivery, some on here recommend Special Delivery.
Good Luck0 -
I'm not sure how anyone can say they're no worse than others who offer 100% cashback. I have many totally free deals, never had to jump through many hoops and wouldn't touch this lot with a barge pole! Caveat emptor I reckon!0

Bit late now isn't it??? Bit before my time fortunately.... However, I can think of some companies which aren't a fraction as bad as the Mobile Outlet and (to be fair) you have to be comparing with dealers who are still around. I wouldn't place bets on this lot not following the wonderful one you mention now...
Besides; I've yet to come across another place which actually has (among many other wonderful tripwires) amongst it t&c that they will charge you for non-use of your phone....0 -

Anyone thinking about taking out a contract now does not have to worry about submitting the 11th and 12th months bills in the way you state, this requirement hasn't been around since last year.:)
Method of postage is down to personal preference and faith, but I would send at least Special delivery, and recommend Special delivery with consequential loss. :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0
