Like so many others i have had huge problems with these guys
, saying they didnt recieve my claim on time.
I am just wondering one thing though after the 12 months how do i make sure its cancelled, with TMO or orange? or am i just out of it after the 12 month contract, thanks0 -
No - your contract with Orange is ongoing (subject to the 12 months minimum).
If you want to cancel it you need to give one month's notice to Orange. Make sure you get a name when you ring them to cancel.0 -
GunJack's regular update - cb#3 of 5.....
well, day 21 today, and suprise suprise, I got 2 e-mails from TMO, the usual about accepted my claim and BACS payment in 7-10 days.....this is the fastest I've got acknowledgement back from them in the three claims I've sent !! We just need to see now if the cash materialises in time, or another polite but firm reminder is needed......
GunJack - not going to tempt fate by getting TOO excited
p.s. - Saint, you're one of the reasons I like checking in on this thread....excellent post !!......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I sent cash back claim via special delivery. Reportedly arrived on 23/07/07 11:09. However interestingly their mail is being redirected currently. They claim that this is because they are having their Shipley office refurbished. I do hope that is the case...not reassuring is it!0

No; it isn't. Do you have any further details of the address to which their mail's now being redirected?

Yes, this sounds iffy to me...
Just posted my 3rd CashBack claim this morning special delivery with consequential loss insurance. I'll keep the forum posted as to what happens...0 -
Just wanted to say that I have today received a Bank Credit for £540 being the 2nd & last instalment of a 12 month contract on 3 phones. The payment was a few days late but nothing to be too concerned about.
I had to chase TMO for the first payment at 6 months but a polite email to the Forum Team worked OK.
A tactic I used when applying for my cashback was to write the letter as normal & including all the information they ask for and then right at the bottom under my signature state their exact T&C (copied from their website on the day of the transaction, held in a Word file, then pasted onto the letter). This included the date so there could be no question of them saying I was trying to claim under the wrong T&C's.
Having read this forum avidly for some time and, yes I know its been said before, please please please follow the T&Cs to the letter. It really should come as no surprise that if you don't do so you will not get paid. Of course it goes without saying that Recorded Delivery should always be used. I have to disagree with Jamie, Post 329, where he asserts that the following statement is confusing: "To claim the second half of your cashback entitlement, forward us your 11 and 12 months bill, again this must be with 21 days from the date shown on each of these bills." Obviously keeping the 11th month bill until you receive the 12th means that the 11th bill cannot comply with the T&C's.
I wish you all well in trying to claim your cashback but I have to be fair and say that as far as TMO are concerned I am one of their happy customers.0 -

Have you not learnt that recorded delivery is not sufficient if the claim is lost or spirited away.;)
Having read the threads of the other cashback companies recently, The Mobile Outlet are suddenly seeming half decent (well nearly) :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
I've always sent by recorded delivery.
If you have a company arguing that things sent in envelopes were missing, what is to stop an unscrupulous company from saying the Special Delivery envelope was missing bits too?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
It seems to me to be a very sad day when The Mobile Outlet look remotely decent!0
