come on guys, let's keep it relevant without degenerating into something it shouldn't be......

    anyhow, back to business :D

    GunJack's regular update - cb#3 of 5....

regular followers of this thread will probably remember earlier in the week when I reported that cb#3 had been acknowledged by TMO, with the BACS payment in 7-10 (working) days - my brackets, not theirs. This is now Day 25 of the claim, and 3 days into their payment window. So far, so good !!!

updates will be posted as required...

GunJack - beginning to think TMO could be worse, but am I really going to get another contract from them ???

Looking at my calendar, it seems you failed to mention that they have not met the terms and conditions of cashback payments and have paid you late?

They have paid me within two months without me chasing, but yes that would be outside of their T&Cs; still, I have my money.

Hi, what's the average time for this company to process orders? Placed mine on 23/07 and still shows assign stock. Sent an e-mail earlier to both the customerservices and forumqueries address but I got an auto-reply from customerservices apologizing for a technical issue and my e-mail would be answered within 24 hours.

Tried calling the 01274 587070 number in post 2/3 of this thread, the second number is invalid, no response from either.

I take it they only operate Mon-Fri?

Could I cancel this order as they haven't shipped it yet (according to their site) and if so how?

  • Hi,

When it comes to new orders they're normally very quick - I've always received my phones special delivery on the next working day. Maybe they're out of stock on the one you've ordered.

If they're out of Stock it never said so on the product page, which is why I'm wanting to know about my cancellation rights. They seem to levy admin charges left right and center but they're all for after you're connected and if you void the conract, not before you get the item.

I believe there IS a charge merely for "checking your identity" or some such nonsense. Why on earth would anyone choose to go with a dealer like this in the first place unless they expect continuous hassle?

Well, both The Mobile Outlet and T-Mobile have done checks on my account.

    23/07/2007: Order Placed
24/07/2007: £1.99 debit by Mobile Matters UK
    24/07/2007: £2.00 debit by T0Mobile UK LTD
    24/07/2007: £2.00 credit from T-Mobile UK LTD

    So something's happening.

T-Mobile has refunded the check fee; The Mobile Outlet won't. Check doesn't equal supply. I ordered with another highly dubious dealer recently; they don't bother telling you whether you're getting a phone or not. If I were you I'd be quite glad if I didn't from this (or most other!) place(s) at present.

The Mobile Outlet can take 1-10 days from the time of ordering, to you receiving the handset.

Any order cancelled before being sent will incur a £15 charge, this is to cover any administration time in processing the order.
    (Terms and conditions 13.6 (2 of 2  ))

You do read them don't you.

Even though this is in the contract it is against the distance selling regulations.

So you should be able to recover any admin charges they levy.

"Should" is the problem - from the experiences posted here they will take the money and leave you to fight them for it back.

You could get round this by telling your credit card company you have lost your card. They will issue you a new one which they won't be able to charge.
