Having taken a phone contract through The Mobile Outlet last July, like many othrers I have been kept waiting for my cashback. We followed the instructions fully, using special delivery and despite having spoken on the phone and being promised our cashback it has never happened. We have not even had an email confirming receipt of the bills although this was promised also. We know they were received okay, it just seems that we are being totally ignored. We won't let this go, if we get nothing at all we will go to the county court and they can also pay our costs.
Anyone got any advice on how best to proceed.
Does anyone know if these guys trade as mobiles.co.uk?
Thanks,
The Doc0 -
Hey Taz Thanks i guess its because i was trying it from my office and we have non-BT company for Call Routing, once i used the 1280 override it worked and because of this i thought maybe theyve closed their offices so i was thinking not to send the bills0

Hi everyone,
In my humble opinion, I don't think there is any chance of TMO going bust in the near future....why would they?.....they are not paying anything out unless you visit them personally...or the bailiffs manage to extract some lolly from them....Think about it, lots of people are going to be discouraged at the thought of actually going to court in person...It started with emails being ignored, then LBAs, then CCJs, then bailiffs....as I posted earlier, you need to be preapred to go the whole 9 yards on this....I reckon that for every successful claimant, there are at least 20 others who give up....anyone else got any views on this???
I asked in the past if anyone knows how long it takes TMO to get commission from the networks for the contracts they sell. I didn't get a reliable response. I think they probably sold a lot of phones during Christmas and New Year and would I assume hold out until they are fully paid. Once this is done I can't quite see how they have a viable business since most of the networks seem to have pulled the plug. Once they have more money going out than in I should think they will call it a day. This is only my own uninformed opinion and I should also say that I pursued my cash back through the court and took the risk as I couldn't bear the thought that they would get away with this disgracefull (some might say immoral bordering on illegal) behavior.:mad:0 -
Commission is usually paid out after about 3 months, if I remember correctly (used to work at cpw). If it goes via a middle-man/affiliate it may take a bit longer than this.Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0

Just finished filling in my Mcol claim!! Feel a bit of relief already that I have started to maybe get a bit of my own back on these crooks(hopefully!) I am not getting my hopes up and have been a bit cautious as I also have a feeling that they will go bust soon. My husband has also got a contract but I have decided to pursue them one at a time in case I end up losing a load more money. Will post all developments in my case. Thanks to everyone who gave me the advice and encouragement to pursue this. Keep it up!0

I am so happy now to announce that Supervisor of the Mobile Outlet will be in trouble with the courts soon. WHY?
I'll tell you why with this handy proof I've got.
The Supervisor has sent my friend early January a copy of a Defence for a claim( a Microsoft word typed letter + a copy of a cheque that they pretended to have sent). This is their copy not the court copy as they haven't filed a Defence through the court.
After my friend has sent the Bailiff after winning judgement to get the money from them, they have told the bailiff that they have not received any paperwork from the courts regarding this claim. OK in other words they are claiming they didn't know anything about this claim against them.
However, they forgot that they sent my friend a letter typed by the supervisor (with the court claim reference at the top of the letter) and a copy of the cheque. This cheque clearly shows their account number and the cheque number as stated in the accompanied letter. This cheque also has a signature.
Now my friend will be revealing all this proof to the court as they have applied for the judgement to be set a side. Hopefully the Supervisor of the mobile outlet will be in trouble very soon.0 -
