  • danjen, they are easy to find once you get to Bradford- just follow the brown signs with a football on. They are in the Bantams business centre at the football ground. But be aware they may not give you a cheque then & there- they will probably show you the cheque- ask for a written statement that it will be dispatched, or say you'll wait for the signatory to come back.

Thks for your help Caroline. But do you reckon they will issue me a cheque for the full balance they owe me of £336 (4 claims x £84) since they are accusing me of sending my 3rd claim in late although they have approved of my 2nd claim but never sent me the funds? Is there any evidence we need to take such as bills or letters in order to challenge them if they refuse or deny payment? Does anybody think I can demand them for full payment on the grounds of fundamental breach of contract on my 2nd claim? Any suggestions or advice on how to deal with these astute cheaters if they refuse to pay me by using their accusation that my 3rd claim was late?? What is the best way to handle these people when I see them? Demand them for payment immediately? BY the way is there a car park near their office in Bradford? How long does it take to get there once we reach Bradford? Is there a best time to visit these people? What are their office hours? Thanks very much!
  • Hi
If you have a look at my thread Fri 25 Jan when i visited the their office you will be able to see that they refused to pay the full amount that they owed me. They wanted to do this in five instalments of £96 and offered me my fisrt cheque for £96. i refused this and said i would carry on with my claim through the courts.
The car park is directly outside of the BCFC shop and the entrance is to the right of where you purcase tickets for the match. The lady on the desk works for BCFC and not TMO and is very helpfull, if you need directions once you reach Bfd please let me know which way you will be coming in as i visit Valley Parade often for football.
  • I think you have more chance of getting the full amount on the spot if your contract has finished. Mine finished in November and I just told them there were three payments outstanding. They took all my paperwork upstairs but I doubt they checked it all as they weren't gone long. My total owing was "only" £216, so maybe that made a difference.

P.S. Have just rung my bank and they say I can draw on the cheque (although it can still be returned within 8 days) so I think I can declare a success!

I'm quite annoyed for 1 thing: today my sister received a letter from the court saying that the bailiff wasn't able to get any money because the TMO manager wasn't there and there weren't any goods in TMO to seize.

Ofcourse wasn't happy to hear that as I was dealing with her case online from beginning till end.

The amount to be claimed by the bailiff was for the full amount stages 1 to 5 in 1 contract for (Sister number 1) and for Sister number 2 stages 2,3,4,5. The Bailiff hasn't yet been successful in getting the cheques. :(

For sister number 2, she was told few days ago by the bailiff that TMO have sent her a cheque. She waited 3 days for the cheque but not received it.

TMO are playing this game even with the Bailiffs.

    Hey.

I am about to go through MCO having exhausted all other possibilities but am unsure of how much to claim for. I have sent of bills 1-4 and 5-7, fully sticking to the terms and conditions but have only received confirmation that claim 1 was a success. I intend to claim for both + expenses but am I eligible to claim for the remaining 5 months that I have not yet sent off on the grounds that they have already broken the T&C's? If so that would be great so I could claim the whole lot and forget about it. otherwise, if they don't pay up again, I would have to repeat the whole process?

    Advice would be much appreciated!
Dare I say it.... its all in here!:p
  • Once a judgement has been got, how do I 'employ' a bailiff? I believe that the Bradford lot are aware of TMO.
Any contact numbers that I could try?

Thanks Colin and Caroline. You help is much appreciated. So did you guys take your own paperwork or has TMO got it themselves? I will demand them for a cheque of the full payment immediately otherwise I will visit them again the next day if they make up the same lies that the director is not there to sign the cheque. I am just wondering whether they would refuse paying me becos my 3rd claim was late so they say. Anyway, I will try my best and update you. Also Colin, why didn't you take their cheque of £96? At least something is better than none.

your comment led me to "google" this site :

    http://www.apacs.org.uk/payment_options/documents/ChequestheFacts2007FINAL.pdf

page 5 makes interesting reading that we can probably all learn from !

I'm about to -hopefully - have a cheque cleared from TMO............
