  • Welcome to MSE, I'll shift your post into the Mobile Outlet thread where I'm afraid you'll find many users with similar problems.

In October, I had not received my fourth or fifth claim. Upon contacting me, they send they would send my fourth cheque but to wait until the end of December for the fifth to be processed. Surprisingly, they did indeed send me my fourth cheque and so I was patient for my fifth but I am still waiting..

They are ignoring my e-mails.. I have tried forumqueries (normally the ones who bother to reply), cashback and customerservices @ mobileoutlet.co.uk

    Should I give up?
  • I have been monitoring this thread for some time after having my own problems with The Mobile Outlet, very much like most users on this forum.

I submitted my first 2 claims in August & November 2007 and received nothing to date, despite these being accepted as valid and countless assurances from their staff that payment is imminent.

Following two LBA's I have registered a claim with MCOL for the full anount of cashback (£420), although I fear that the company will sink before I see the colour of any money from them.

I'm quite annoyed for 1 thing: today my sister received a letter from the court saying that the bailiff wasn't able to get any money because the TMO manager wasn't there and there weren't any goods in TMO to seize.

Ofcourse wasn't happy to hear that as I was dealing with her case online from beginning till end.

The amount to be claimed by the bailiff was for the full amount stages 1 to 5 in 1 contract for (Sister number 1) and for Sister number 2 stages 2,3,4,5. The Bailiff hasn't yet been successful in getting the cheques. :(

For sister number 2, she was told few days ago by the bailiff that TMO have sent her a cheque. She waited 3 days for the cheque but not received it.

TMO are playing this game even with the Bailiffs.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Any idea what does it mean? Does it mean that even the bailiffs have given up and there is no way to recover money from these crooks? Did you get in touch with the MCOL helpdesk to understand this communique's implications.

To everyone else: If bailiffs have given up and there is no possibility to get the money back, is it possible to implicate the promoters of this company through seperate proceedings at least to make sure that they are not able to trade in mobile phone industry unless they sort all these issues? Any 'reasonable cost' advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
  • I just got my 4th bill.

    What would you lot recommend?

Is there any point in sending my bills off and attempting to get cashback?

If not, what should i do?

    Thanks a lot.
