Yes i was on TTC after this thread in 2012. We will probably/maybe get to it end of the year ... Need to visit birth after thoughts first as I really need to get my head in order over what happened with baby 1 before having baby 20

Does anyone else hate the waiting?
We're thinking that we're gong to start to TTC in December but that seems so far away! I also feel like I have no one to talk to about it either

We're always here to talk
and believe me, you are not the only one who hates the waiting!
If you consider that we're nearly in April, December is less than a pregnancy away! (oh dear, have I really started measuring time in pregnancies now? :rotfl:)
Have you got lots of things to do to keep your mind off the wait? There is hope for us yet0 -

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining
My Age/Partners age: 24/26
Time together: 2 Years. Married for 5 months.
What are you waiting for?!: We was originally going to start trying in March but at the beginning of Feb I came down with Glandular fever . Very slow recovery.Liver function affected badly. Still off work after 8 weeks so far so I need to be 100% before we start to try.
When will you be TTC? As soon I get the all clear from the doc! Hopefully in another month or two.
Any preTTC prep? Trying to look after myself as much as possible, eating well and have just started looking into pregnancy vitamins/Folic acid.
I'm taking my mind off TTC by I'm not really! As I'm off work I have a lot of spare time on my hands! I've been looking into nursery furniture, prams etc! I just want to feel better now!0 -
Welcome jen1301, sorry to hear you've been unwell, but hopefully you'll recover quickly and you can get on with TTC! Just try and rest up, remember that every day spent resting is helping you to get better quicker, and get started
AFM, we're no further along with the house, therefore no closer to TTC. I feel like, since pushing it back, we've lost all motivation to do anything. Still, each day is a day closer, just not sure where the end date is yet!0 -
Jen - I bet being off work gives you way too much time to obsess! Hope you feel better really soon.
Jellybox - What needs doing in the house before you can get started? From what you said before it sounds like a fair bit. There is hope for us yet0 -
Hi Jen, I hope you're feeling better soon - glandular fever is absolutely horrible!
There seems to be so many people who are pregnant at the moment. We spent some time with some relatives this week, inc their toddler. Great fun but does bring it home just how hard work they are/can be.0 -
Jellybox - What needs doing in the house before you can get started? From what you said before it sounds like a fair bit.
Needs doing includes identifying and fixing the cause of damp patch in second bedroom, getting the floor fixed in same room, and having the work done on bathroom to stop it being mouldy. This is all to ensure a baby could live without mould spores and harmful broken floorboards (hidden when we viewed property).
Wants doing is the remainder of the floorboards downstairs, plus painting in living room, both bedrooms and dining rooms, happy to paint when TTC or even pg, but not sand!
Oddly, written like that it doesn't look so bad, just wish I had more motivation to start. Lumbered with stinking cold for my one day off this week though0 -
Jelly Box - I've got damp problems in my house too. We've called a damp proofing guy in and it turned out to not be that bad. He's going to come in to fix it. It'll take 3 days and cost around £700. Tomorrow look up some people in your area and give them a call. Get it started!
Even if you just get them to figure out what it is and look into doing it yourself.
It sucks that you've fallen ill on your day off. Hope you feel better quickly.
As for me, I really wish my mom wasn't in broody grandmother mode all the time... I'm getting sick of having to keep justifying being sensible. :rotfl:There is hope for us yet0
