We've got to put our TTC efforts back a bit, our house needs a few things doing before it would be safe for a baby, some of which couldn't be done pregnant, and could also be quite costly. Initially going to bump it back by 6 months, then reconsider.

    Gutted :(

Jellybox I know it feels really rubbish knocking back the dates, but try to think of it as you starting your journey. You're preparing your house for a baby! That's exciting! ... even if it is disappointing.

Hopefully the next few months will go nice and quickly :)

we might be having to push out TTC date back too :( OH is now out of work atm and even though my job is safe, I might have to transfer places next year, so our provional TTC date was Sep/Oct 2014, now it might be another 6 months after....its the not knowing now thats difficult, as if everything falls back into place we might bring it back to Oct 2014 again, so I dont have a date now to focus for!!! arrrh!

Sorry to hear there are a few having to push dates back. It sucks, but we will get there in the end, and this will just be a memory.

I'm having a stupid down day today. We've got a big night out planned tomorrow, and whenever we go out (which is very rare - I usually can't be bothered!) I get this awful low. I would happily give up drinking and clubbing forever if it meant I could have my baby back, or if I could start trying again for a living one.

Shame it doesn't work that way!

Ah, I'm sure we'll all laugh about this in a few years when we're out of our minds with tiredness and toddlers!

If you're actively trying, there is a general TTC thread, plus one for people who have been trying for 12 months or more, you might find one of those better suits you as we are all waiting to try here, so stuck at a different point.

Sethisis, sorry to hear you're feeling low, I have similar emotions about nights out too. Thanks also for your kind words, I shall do my best to think of every house thing as part of the journey to TTC.

Oh gosh, just cracked up at "Mr Supersp*rm"! :rotfl:
Sometimes I wonder what goes on in the heads of men.

xnatillyx Sorry you're having difficulty. I bet the ladies on the TTC threads would have loads of advice.

I've decided to enjoy tonight. It's so rare that we go out that it might even be the last night out before we start trying... you never know! So Make up on, alcohol in and try not to think about babies all night.

Oh, also - in an attempt to say something not depressing, as I'm so moany... Isn't it odd that all through your teenage years you're constantly told not to let a man anywhere near you without contraception, as they're just getting women pregnant left right and centre, when it comes to this they cling onto contraception like it's a matter of life and death!!

My BF isn't giving me any date at the moment, just saying 'one day'... so I'm not relying on dates at all. I'm knitting a patchwork throw. Once that is done, I'll start knitting a shawl or something, and start trying while knitting that. Bearing in mind it took me 5 years to knit a scarf, I'd better get cracking!

Sethisis I feel for you I really do. My oh was the same, didn't want to actually put a date down on it or anything after I miscarried two years ago.and that was so hard coz I wanted to try straight away and he wouldn't come anywhere near me.good to keep your mind of it tho :) I've started crochet to keep me busy and making baby things for a friend but don't know if that's helping or hindering the way I feel xxx
