  • Oooh, a lovely new thread. Great idea ilovelondontown, things were getting a bit lost over on the other one.

    My Age/Partners age: 33/38
Time together: 7years (married 6 years)
What are you waiting for?!: moving to a nicer area / saving enough to cover maternity
When will you be TTC? who knows :-( all hinges on OH's business, we need two-three years of accounts to remortgage so won't be for a while yet.
Any preTTC prep? trying to maintain a healthy weight, and get a bit fitter
I'm taking my mind off TTC by... I'm not really, but mainly planning how we can move house

  • I'm another one with bump envy - everyone I know seems to be pg at the moment. Plus all this Will & Kate baby talk on the radio etc you just can't get away from it.

We got married so quickly every one thought we must have been expecting - we weren't. So the "when's it your turn" seems to have started even earlier for us than for a lot of my friends.

Miss Bolan - I think its perfectly normal to feel broody, and a bit "what are we waiting for?" when you have a family tragedy. I'm so much broodier since we lost my grandad last year, its really brought home that my folks aren't getting any younger and I really want them to be around for any kids me and OH have.

Oh this Royal Baby stuff dominating the news today does nothing to help my baby fever. I'm having a bad day on the whole waiting front in any case but this is just pushing me over the edge and all I'm doing now is asking myself, what am I waiting for!?

Edited: oh and now apparently Peter Andre is going to be a father again... babies babies everywhere....!
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

    Like a catapolt!
  • Ooh, I didn't know this thread existed, I've been reading the TTC thread enviously for a while now...

    My Age/Partners age: 31/29
    Time together: 3.5 years
What are you waiting for?!: OH is off on military tour in November, we've said we'll start trying when he returns
When will you be TTC? April 2014 onwards
Any preTTC prep? Right now, not much, when OH is away I will come off the pill and be getting myself super fit for babymaking :)
I'm taking my mind off TTC by... It's so hard, babies are everywhere right now, OH is just as bad as me, but wants to know we have a couple of full years before he is on tour again if I do get pregnant quickly.

Money is my big concern, but we are hoping to get posted to Cyprus towards the end of next year, OH gets extra money which would help if I were on maternity... So many things to put us off in regards to not having money, but people keep telling me if we wait until we have money, we'll never do it...

browneyedbazzi your course does not sound very woman-friendly!! I hope it works out for you and you are able to TTC soon :)

I'm suck of hearing about the royal baby, yet at the same time I'm obsessed with it! I'm a horrible envious freak :(

In other news, I have stopped with hormonal contraception and I'm gonna track my cycles for a bit. Partly just to give me something to do that feels like progress. Anyone else started cycle tracking? Want to give me some tips? ;)

Hope all my fellow waiters are well.

I just wanted to stop by to give my support and encouragement to the ladies waiting to TTC.

There are so many threads with sad stories about people with kids having major issues many of which probably could have been avoided if they had not rushed into having kids before being financially prepared and in a stable long term relationship. So well done you for being sensible!

I have been in the same situation and know it can be so hard to wait! I am now pregnant in my mid thirties. Keep up the good work and good luck to you all.
