  • Happy New Year everyone!
Congrats to all those who've graduated over xmas. I'll be here for most (if not all) this year, but the big push has started on getting our house on the market so I'm itching to get moving (in more than one way lol).

fingers crossed I'll be ttc next xmas (daren't even hope i'll be PG by then) so this was possibly my last boozy one for a while and I took full advantage :-).

  • I posted on here back I September as I was feeling very broody but still had a year to wait until I stopped taking my pill, or so I thought!

OH and I were talking over Christmas about stopping the pill in September but he seemed quite distant about it, I felt a bit deflated but let it go as it was still 9 months away. How things change in two weeks, the reason OH didn't say much over Christmas was because in his head he had already decided in his own mind 2014 would be our year and the packet of pills I was taking then would be the last! Aaarrggghhhh!

There I was thinking I was going to have to work hard to convince him by September and he was waiting to suprise me with "don't start another packet" on Friday after my week off. :T

So we are now ntnp while we wait for my cycles to go back to normal. I've no idea what normal will be as I have been taking some form of contraception since I was 16. I've warned him that it will take months for me to be 'ready' but he is sure his swimmers will get the dead done asap! :rotfl:

I'm convinced it will be at least 6-9 months before my cycles are sorted and we can start ttc properly but at least we're 9 months ahead of where I thought we would be :T

Thanks for reading, I wanted to tell someone but we're keeping it to ourselves in real life until we have a first scan and that will be months away! I needed to get it off my chest :D

She's coming up eleven weeks now and we've been so lucky - she's sleeping through and has done since about seven weeks. How old is your little one?

I doubt we'd be going through TTC at the same time though - have to wait for section scar to properly heal then DH have some number crunching to do, plus the decision over whether to go elective or VBAC. WTT was so much simpler last time - I miss being pregnant! :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
Congratulations to those who have moved on :D and good luck to all who know that they will be starting this year!

We have absolutely no date for TTC now as fixing up the new house looks to be quite expensive, and my nurse training very well might start in October... so realistically we might have to wait a while.

Let's hope this board stays so positive! :)
There is hope for us yet

My implant is out, so while visiting parents (they have internet, we still don't) I've definitely not be googling TTC threads all over the internet, or ovulation sticks, or anything else of that ilk.... Honest!:o

Lovely tumbleweed in here. Where are we all? I can't be the only one missing this thread?!

I'm now only a couple of months off moving to TTC, implant is well and truly got from system, I think I ov'd a couple of days after it (as can happen, apparently) and feel like I'm awaiting my first AF for years! On top of this I'm finally starting to try and prepare for TTC, still not taken a folic acid tablet, but that starts once I find the safe place I've lost them in, but have started doing some exercise that I could continue once pregnant, so that my body will have the best possible chance of a healthy pregnancy :)

Hope the rest of you are doing well, come and update everyone (or at least me, I'm nosy) on your progress!

What are you waiting for?!: My implant to come out and our holiday next month (would like to be able to drink)
When will you be TTC? Hopefully March
Any preTTC prep? Folic acid for 3 months now, as per the guidelines (this is really important and cheap, ladies, please do it for 3 months pre-and 3 months post-conception!), booked to have my implant out, charting as of today!
I'm taking my mind off TTC by... I'm not, hands up, I'm obsessed.

Hiya ladies, joined this thread in late 2013, still have a TTC date on Sep/Oct 2014, so got a while yet. However finding it much more difficult to keep my mind off it...if I see something that is a good baby bargain, and I mean a really good bargain, I might accidentally be buying things and storing them in the loft....!
any one else have this problem?! husband seems ok with it as I say well it will save money when the baby comes...however his face when I told him I've got a moses basket...! (it was a gorgeous mammas and papas one on ebay and no-one else bid on it, so it was 99p! so totally cant complain at that :) ) xx
