Buy yourself some gorgeous lingerie. Something you love and wouldn't normally splash out on. If he likes it too........;)
Damaris and Mimi Holliday do beautiful, quality lingerie.

What about getting his mates all to go paintballing with him. The other idea was as he is buying some alloys what about alloy cleaner etc.
My man is the same, he buys what he wants when he needs it.
Successful things i have got him although he didnt want anything were tickets to a show, tickets to a sporting event. a spa day, a valet of his landrover.0 -
Im also not a big fan of presents or surprises (im a woman though).
Its just my moneysaving tendencies are so strong I just hate the thought of getting a gift I dont want/need, equally I hate the thought of spending my hard earned money on gifts that wont be appreciated/used.
Personally I would just like others have said use the money to treat myself in 'everyday life' and not have to deal with the hassle of stressing about one particular day.0 -
Really, don't.
Whats wrong with paintballing. If you are energetic with a good bunch of mates its a great day. My partner went on a stag day and said it was amazing. Although a little bruised when he got home.
My brother and the entire workforce went recently for a team building day and had great fun.
All men are different, one persons dislike is someone else's joy:)0 -

Paintballing is great, I've done it myself, but when your Wife books it for you it's completely lame.Pants0 -
I love this thread. I too am a bloke who doesn't care about, or give a hoot about presents. Even when I tell my wife what i'd actually want, she'll decide to buy something slightly different (surprise!).
Just accept that Hollywood has sold you a false pretense - Blokes don't usually care about presents/experience days.
Paintball is rubbish compared to outdoor lazer battles..0 -
What does he say he wants to do for his birthday? I don't mean presents, but does he say "I don't want anything", or does he say "I just want a quiet day without any fuss"?
If he just wants an evening in front of a film, that's the way to go. Or does he not even give you that much help?!Mortgage when started: £330,995

I don't much like getting surprise presents, it's my birthday soon and I've asked DH to buy me a new frying pan! I know it sounds dull but it's something I actually want and *need* as opposed to stuff that's alright but not really something I'd have chosen to buy for myself. It's a shameful waste of money and all ends up being just more stuff to gather dust and then you can't throw it out in case you upset somebody

He says (about 3 weeks ago) 'I'll have a think' then nothing. I'll ask again and it'll be 'nope can't think of anything'. We can't plan something for the Monday, as he might be out kitesurfing.
He'd just like a normal day, no mention of it, just as per a normal day.
I think its a shame, I want to do so something. But its ME who wants to do something, I need help realising HE doesn't ha ha ha.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
