Thought I'd say hi :hello: as I've been over on greenfingered for ages, and have only recently discovered you all here on OS.
This Flylady thread has been a real eye opener - I have always given myself a hard time about not doing housework, but have spent so much time worrying that I've never really done it, so thanks lil-me for taking my hand and showing me the way :T . I have been on board since Monday (lurking in the background), but now I have armed myself with microfibre cloths, have worked out how to turn the hoover on, and have even sussed how to cross things off a list! DH won't know what has happened!

Morning everyone, Thought i was going to have an easyish day as i did my bedroom as soon as i got up and have my 3rd load of washing almost finished.
I was wrong dd2 decided to not to take what i'd done for her to school and do her own while i was upstairs and omg she's opened a big bag of pasta which split open and is everywhere on the floor, work top, cooker:eek: .Shes also used up the things we were having for tea i even said last night what things were'nt to be touched in the fridge because they were for another meal.
Then theres all the pans and dishes shes used she only making pasta salad.
So i'v ignored the kitchen for a bit as when i first saw it this morning i cryed so i' v been doing bits in the living room, sorting paper work from under the coffee table and sorting the kids things which need to go upstairs and also had a quick sort through the wicker baskets in living room which i use to dump things in.Will just hang the washing out then i think i'll be ready to tackle the kitchen.0 -

I didn't really notice it until I went for my bath last night.
:o Sooo I'm going to swap the washing on the line over, then sit down with a coffee and a chocolate cake or two (only little fairy cakes) before they go stale
Then I'll tackle upstairs completely as the bathroom only needs hoovering and the bedrooms don't take long
Right, off to sort washing
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Level One

Newmrslockwood - I can only empathise - I've got exactly the same problem: we have a prehistoric-type circle of sudocrem in the middle of the boys' bedroom. I have tried everything to shift it - stardrops, proprietary carpet cleaning stuff, white spirit, WD40, steam cleaning: the stain remains.
My advice is to shrug your shoulders, pretend you don't care and save yourself some elbow grease....
It doesn't come off computer screens easily either...Is it home time yet?0 -
sorry - losing the plot.... quelle surprise!!
Anyway - am flying like mad in the sitting room today, including changing the furniture around so the whole floor is being cleaned (boy, were there some nasties lurking...)
Hugs to everyone out there - there seems to be a lot of illness around: hope everyone recovers quickly! Is it home time yet?0 -
Hello Angie loves veg! Welcome - I'm rubbish at flying, but I do try (well, actually some days I am fabulous - but then everything gets undone horribly quickly when I'm not-so-fabulous).
Anyway - i might peek over at the green-fingers board later: my beans are not being fabulous AT ALL....Is it home time yet?0 -
Angie welcome to my second home, the other Flybabes (and Flyboy when he shows his face) are lovely and I hope you enjoy being with us
DP got his referal for Xray so that's one more thing sorted, right, bedroom! One day I might be more organised...........

Hi everyone
Thinking of you AnW's Mum and your family.
Hope everyone had a better night's sleep last night!
Well so far,
WM x 2
I've completely emptied and cleaned DS's bedroom as his new bed has been delivered today. However, now can't get in our bedroom because of the stuff which belongs in DS's room!
Cleaned the landing and hoovered it.
Need to get going and get some more done otherwise I won't be able to get into bed tonight!
Hope everyone's okay today.
Good news about your little one Tracey.
Catch you later
