Katherinedrex, that sounds like a lot to me especially with back pain! You're doing a good job. And GeorgiaW, sounds like you have it in control! Well done both :T

Lil_me, well done on being brave with the doglets, I always cry when I come away from cattery.

One washload on the line, its hot but no sunshine. Busy uncovering a path that runs along the wall between me and the church; mossy, soily and weedy. It's big old slabs of stone and eventhough there's no graveyard next door I keep wondering..

Off to hack at some flowering ivy now but I'm not sure if the blackbirds are living in there at the moment. I'll have a listen!

  • Just got back from work and house has the smell of steak and mushroom casserole wafting around it. Pity I'm not hunger yet. DH just dropped his jacket and made straight for the slow cooker.

Have got another 2 loads of washing to put in, 2 dry loads to take off line and some baking to do for DS1 (dairy free).

Have decided today to take Monday afternoons off (as I work quite a full week). Have got the bug for "flying" now. Only trouble is I can't do this till a week tomorrow some of my staff are on holiday next week. Well I have something to look forward to next week. Will make sure I do a list ready so I make the best of my time.

When is the thread for next week posted  I missed it last week :o

We've only just got in, but while we were at the shops we kept going oh - we'll need that for the hols, so we just bought it this week so it can be packed up and then that will save me time next week. Might as well have things like non-perishable food in the bag so we just have to grab it when we load the car up. ;) Can't believe how organised i feel for a change. :D

I'm beat. I've done the windows outside and the doors and made progress on a tiny bit of the garden. Made a load of spicy bean burgers for the freezer, sitting having one now in a bun with jalapenos, yum yum for little effort! Didn't get the car vacc'd and haven't sorted mobile recycling thing yet.

All I'm going to do this evening, once I've got the ironing board out (again..) is bath and tv. And of course, check on here for the new thread!!

Hope everyone's had a good day.

Joining with the beat feeling, haven't sat down until now, I'm shattered, my feet ache and I'm all sticky. Half way through sitting room etc when DSs came back so will wait until they've had dinner before finishing, have pulled out sofas and done under them etc. Have decided to get the dogs beds washed seeing as they are away, it'll make the house smell doggyfied if I don't.

All but the toiletries bag (which also has cameras, battery chargers etc in), kids bag (which goes in back with them) and food for 'on the way' bag is in the car. Can't find my checklist so hope I have everything :rotfl: Think I'll go sort through the fridge while I wait for their dinners to cook.

Hi! Have posted on the new weeks thread but wanted to finish off here for the week! Had some unexpected visitors this afternoon but they rang and gave us 30mins notice, managed to hoover, S&S kitchen, tided and made myself look decent and they commented on how nice the house looked - thanks flying!

Was going to do a roast dinner but didn't fancy it so am roasting chicken now as needed using so will strip that and put in SC for stock before bed. Think I'll make DS some meals out of the breasts and DH can take rest for salads for work and dogs will get the scraps after the stocks done tomorrow - not bad for one little, poor chicken. DH and I have had a lazy day, actually got back into bed for a nap this morning whilst DS had his morning nap - haven't done that since he was a newborn. Never made it to sort DH car as baby seat wouldn't go in his car, its two door, low sporty thing - stupid and needs changing for a more family car. Popped shopping and then fetched shelf for DS room and I stained to match his room. Not too bad a day really. DH treated us to some gorgeous wine from the outlet so just enjoying a bottle.

DustyKitten Can't ask for favours or help either. When DS was first born I used to iron at midnight as had no one to help me, DH was in a bad place for a while due to something else and I had everything on my own, MIL (who doesn't work and is quite young and with it) used to ask if she could help but could never ask her to, I'm too proud. DH is much better now with helping and does things for me but I still struggle to ask him to do something for us, if hes watching DS feel I've got to do housework and can't relax. We have only ever left DS a couple of times - once for a funeral, once for us to go to London, once for a meal, my mums had him once for me to go to the hairdressers. Just can't ask for people to babysit, as Lil_me says I had the child for me to bring up but do think DH and I should get out more now DS has a bedtime. Its only this last month MIL has had DS for an hour on Friday afternoons but that hour has really helped and its nice to have an hour to myself but she has to offer, I can't ask. My mum and DH mum helped with the food last week for the Christening and I had to buy cards, flowers because I felt gulity. Silly but....
    Solwaykid those bugers sound yummy
KatherineDex Gosh, you sound like you cope amazing with your busy life and health problems
Lim_me When are you off, have a good time if you haven't already left

See you all on the other thread!!
