Evening all, just been striking off my list, only have missed 3 things, one I can't do yet as couldn't get drawers out, other is kids beach shoes, god knows where they are, posting which I forgot but it's weekend anyway. So quite pleased with my little self! I also had my me time, watched Grease/Joseph and Casualty. Then dozed off

Dusty you would probably hate it here, we get loads, they even occasionally come in the house by accident. Chester Zoo where we are going next Friday has a walk through bat cave type of thing, DP being over 6ft got slapped across the head by several of them when they were flying past him :rotfl:
Anyway, thought would get in with tomorrows list
[STRIKE]Kids up dressed, fed etc Dogs fed
Take dogs to park as a diversion then take them down to the kennels (I will probably cry I always do having to leave them)
Shop for bottled water, juice, snacks, hayfever tablets and painkillers.
Visit kids grandparents
Shed alarm to neighbour
Top up oil on car and check the other bits like water, tyre pressures etc
Post ebay stuff and letters
My car to DPs Nana's, check she is ok and doesn't need anything
Keys to brother in laws - with Woody's instructions etc
Empty boot on his car and put cases in
Laptop, PS3 etc all hidden from view and upstairs blinds/curtains closed
Finish packing cases
Bring bikes in house
Make checklist for Monday [/STRIKE]
Vacuum through completely and mop downstairs
Clear any perishables that won't be used, preferably freeze like milk etc
Rest of dailies
Final laundry wash last thing so can hang on airers before we goOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone. I've had a really busy few days so not managed to post.
Thursday my brother moved into his new house just round the corner from me so i went and helped with cleaning. His wife to be is 7 months pregnant so wanted to help as much as i could. She is so lovely and i am so glad that she is marrying my brother and now they are living so close to me.:D When she goes back to work after baby is born I'm gonna be looking after him, cant wait! (the baby, not my bro)
Anyway, My mum brought up a double buggy that had been sat in her porch for 2 years hardly ever used. i put it on e-bay buy it now and it sold in 50 mins. i couldn't believe it. So Friday i had to pop to town to buy birthday cards and decorations for a cake i was making. in the after noon i baked cake, and waited around for the folks that had bought buggy, they didn't arrive till about 5:30 when i was just dishing tea up. decorated cake butterfly stylie. did a bit of flying in between.
yesterday i went to supermarket bright and early. was home for 10! don't usually get dressed before that. so then i emptied wash basket (Its full again, do't know where it comes from!) and did a bit of gardening till it was time to go to my friends 7 year old daughters birthday party. sent son home with kids at 7.30 and finally crawled in at 12.30 this morning a bit worse for ware! feel great today though. no hangover!:T
got parent coming for lunch so best go put my joint in now.
"see" you all laters!Nothing to declare

Morning all
Busy Day here. DS1 has a football tournament about 40 minutes from home. Those things can go on for so long. DS3 has a party right in the middle of it. I have asked one of his friend's Mum's to have him before the party and take him which she is more than happy to do but her DS was not well Friday and Saturday so could spend the day driving backwards and forwards with DS2 in the car.
I hate asking other people to look after my kids/do me favours. I never mind being asked but will often make life difficult for myself just so that I don't ask. So my question - how are you all at asking other people to help you out? BTW I'm an Aquarian.
Happy Sunday Flyladies. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I must be getting there as my list has got a lot smaller
Just had my bacon buttie for breakie, and about to have my 2nd cup of tea, so i must start in a moment. I'm going to have to brave Meadowhell this morning, but plan to be there at 11 when it opens, and then from there go straight to mums and do stuff there, and then food shop and B&Q, and then home for an afternoon of marking and house sorting. Hopefully it will be a bit more organised than yesterday as i wasted time thinking what to do with myself as i was poorly motivated. Can't be like that this week if i have to weild the sceptre of responsibility.
Anyway, here's the list:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Wipe dining table
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

Morning all. Wow Michelle that list is getting a lot smaller! Newmrslockwood, sounds great that they'll be living so close, new little one to look after aswell, aww!
Dusty, the helping out bit, well I haven't been out on a night out with DP for about 2 years, noone apart from him has the boys for me if I need to go to appointments etc. Kind of says it all really. I have quite firm beliefs on certain things like I would never ask an old relative to have my kids, I see so many grandparents here exhausted looking after grand children, sometimes great grandchildren. They are my kids, I brought them into the world and I will bring them up.
My oldest having Autism is dificult anyway to leave with others. If say DPs Dad offered to have them I would say ok but the last time he did was 4 years ago. My Dad is too ill or he would offer, he drops off to sleep several times through the day, not something could do with my boys. My ONLY babysitter is my DPs brother, but it has been a couple of years now since he looked after them, now he's 21 I don't like putting on him, he's usually too busy with his gf or going out etc anyway. My sister and BIL will have them for the 2 hours I am at college once a month if DP is working but have to pay them to. I wouldn't ask friends, parents of their friends etc, never have. I don't know how parents like my DSs friend's parents can do things like she has them Monday-Friday when they are at school but holidays and weekends they are passed between parents etc because they don't fit around her social life. That isn't why I had children to pass them around with whoever will have them.
As for the list, hmm, not much done so far, DP asleep on sofa as had a rough night with DS2 and he was in my bed when he got in from work. One day I might be more organised...........

Morning all,
Had a lovely lie-in til 8 O'clock, no alarm, no pestering kitty cats, no fuzzy head. Fantastic.
Newmrslockwood, that sounds like an absolutely lovely couple of days. Its nice that you get on with your future SIL too; mine's really lovely, I'd choose her as a friend even if she wasn't married to my Bro. Lucky you getting so much involvement with the baby when it comes too!
Dustkitten, I hate asking for favours too but I volunteer them all the time even if it means extra hassle for me. If someone does me a favour I can't be gracious and just let them, I have to pay them back in some way immediately which is probably really irritating. I'm sure there's an explanation but it's far too deep seated for a Sunday morning!
BM is on, just had a reccie in the garden with my cuppa, its not so sunny today but I want to do some more. I'll at least fill the garden waste wheelie for Friday so I feel like I get my money's worth.
Other things to do today
Clean windows outside
Vac the car and remove rotting fruit. I really need a litter bin in there, do such things exist?
Look at trading in my old mobiles
Meal plan for the week
There's always more but can't think of them right now.
Good luck today to those of you with a million and one things to do.One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

Morning everyone :j
How do you all manage to do so much?
I did a long post last night and then DH called me to look at something on the tv when I got back to computer I had to sign in again and had lost the post
Well quick version of yesterday
work 8.30 til 5.00 - DH was at work with me from 12.30 so we both went and did top up shop (at Sainsburys  ) cost about £5 more than what DH spends for the week at Aldi, still got all my meat etc for the week. DH has become king of the sell by dates since he took over the shopping :rotfl:
Scrubbed the rotary drier and got the winter greenery off it, even scrubbed my pegs which had been left on the line over winter (can't believe I did that) Washing will be done of an evening now and pegged out ready for the morning. Tumble dryer reserved for smalls only.
Up at 7.30 this morning. Steak and mushroom casserole for 6 bubbling away in slow cooker, 3 individual cottage pies made and ready for freezing for DS's quick meals during the week, 3 portions of spag bol sauce made and ready for the freezor DH 2 & 3 have cooked lunches as they both work near home. 24 buns baked and ready for icing (well 22 I've just had a cup of tea which was too wet :rotfl: )
2 Loads of washing on line but looks like it might rain. Great after coming in last night looking like the jolly green giant when I had washed the rotary line.
Got to do about 3 hours at work this afternoon and then home to sort freezors and fridges out. Mate gave me some broccoli plants Friday so will plant them in my veg plot at work and sit and wait for them to grow.
Take my guide dog down the field tonight and let her free run, she's worked hard this week. Just got to find her bells for her collar so I know where she is, had a tidy up of her stuff last week and have got the memory of a goldfish at moment. Had a suspected brain tumour last year, junior doctor who did lumber punction (without being asked if I was okay with someone who had not done one before after telling them I have a back problem) messed my back up and ended up with lumber leakage for about 7 months. Couldn't hear at times, kept falling over and couldn't speak properly (sons said that was nothing new) He also managed to damage on of my discs and so now have more back pain plus my short term memory has still not come back.
Heck is that the time, got to get going. All have a good day, see you later:wave:0 -
The flying really paid off yesterday.
My brother and his family came round (we see them once a fortnight at each other's houses and have a meal).
In the past I've always had a month's worth of cleaning to do to get the house ready for them and would spend all day rushing round cleaning (never thought to do any beforehand) and then cooking. I'd have to take all the piles of books, magazines and paperwork off the dining table; the piles of similar stuff in the kitchen and living room and put it in my bedroom out of sight - and then of course bring it all back downstairs again at the end of the night so that we could get into the bedroom.
This week my husband decided in the morning that we should take a big shed down that kid's had vandallised a couple of times and move it nearer the house and yesterday was the only day he had to do it. Normally I would have said there was no way I had time to do that but because I was on top of the cleaning I could do.
It actually took a lot longer than either of us anticipated and there was a bee's nest under one section but luckily DS's friend (who's 13) has just taken up bee keeping so we phoned him up and he came round and took it away.
What with suncream and sweat, the muck from the shed (especially where it had been burnt) really stuck to us and we were absolutely filthy so having a shower and washing and drying my hair took up even more time.
But do you know what?
I had a couple of hours to get the meal ready and I only needed to swish and swipe the bathroom and a quick hoover in the living room for the house to look good; although I did still have to take stuff from the living up to my bedroom but that was only two trips rather than a dozen.:j
emmie1234 : thanks for pointing me to flylady.net - it took a long time to read but I now know what to do.
tracyg ; Thanks for your comments and it's certainly true about the more you do, the more you realise needs doing. (it also helps that I've started to wear my glasses when I clean)
