Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level One
Clean floors
Level Two
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
Declutter mission task
Sort any cupboard, doesn't have to be in the kitchen/dining room, even if it's just for 10 minutes
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
Level 2
Vacuum floor and sofas
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean window
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Level 3
Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
Declutter mission task
Clear one hotspot of your choice, even if only for 10 minutes
Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 1
Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh
Check fire alarms are working
Level 2
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
Clean window & wipe windowsill
Level 3
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
Wipe doors and handles
Declutter Mission Task
27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter!!!
Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
Clear any clutter from desk
Level Two
Clean floors in these rooms(even if it is around clutter)
Clean bath, toilet and sink
Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
Level Three
Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Clean windows
Declutter Mission Task
PAPERWORK - Oh yes that dreaded drawer/pile, give it 15 minutes of your time today sorting through, making sure anything urgent is dealt with etc, any urent calls that need making?
Finally Friday - those terrible kids rooms and spare rooms
Level One
Put anything back in it's place that isn't where it should be
Level Two
Strip beds, vacuum mattress and replace with fresh linen
Level Three
Dust, make sure you get the tops of wardrobes/drawers
Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see)
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
Declutter Mission Task
Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, aim for 27, if you can't find that many, well done, you are obviously making a difference
For those with kids or wear uniforms for work, try to get them in the wash tonight, mkes the weekend easier. Apart from the dailies and night time routines that's the lot for the week, of course if you still want to join us over the weekend you are more than welcome
FRIDAY EXTRA - Don't forget your ME time this weekend, even if it's just a nice relaxing bath or catching up with an old friend, go on you deserve it
Lastly, as you know next weeks thread will be ran by Michelle (thanks Michelle for stepping in) hope you all have a great week next week and will be back joining again on my return from hols

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Nighttime routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Less of the icky talk, it's time to fly (apart from make sure you empty the vacuum cleaner pronto if they were!) . Won't be with you all in the morning as I have to get the boys to school then at the hospital for some not very nice tests, doubt I will get chance to post before I go. Hi everyone
Well last week was a complete disaster flying-wise. I spent all week keeping the kids occupied as it was pouring down all week - or that's what it felt like!
It's my Wedding Anniversary today so the kids went to my parents yesterday lunchtime and we picked them up again at lunchtime today. So I've had plenty of me-time this weekend (instead of being at work), we went to Chester shopping yesterday afternoon, then out for a meal and then we've been to the market this morning.
I've definitely got to get on track this week!

Hope all goes well for you tomorrow at the hosptial lil_me.
DS had to write a story as part of his homework and in the hour it took him to do this afternoon whilst he was sat at the table I offered encouraging words whilst doing a mini spring clean in the kitchen. Washed down walls, took china down from shelves and washed it and gave the tiles an extra good scrub. Seeing as I was close to DS to help him I made the time work for me too so just the dining room me for tomorrow.:j
Also we both did a bit more painting in the garden. We now have a purple garden gate. Not everyone's taste I know but I think it looks fab!...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Good luck lil-me! We'll be thinking about you - DS1 is up at Sick Kids tomorrow too - just Edinburgh this time as it is his spine they are looking at and nothing AT ALL to do with his kidneys, pee or blood... hopefully this visit will be so trauma-free that it might desensitise him a bit for the next big kidney tests in October. I live in hope....
Thanks for the tip about eucalyptus oil - whatever was lurking there has now gone and the bedroom smells divine. Am going to rush off to catch up with the rest of my ironing before my next paying load arrives - what a great excuse to watch Corrie!Is it home time yet?0
