I'm losing my mind.....I keep reading this and thanking and then I forget to post.....
Morning all
Dull and dreary here. And the weather's not great either.
One load of washing on the line but it's already been rained on. It can stay there, I think it's supposed to get better this afternoon.
Done the kitchen/diner up to level 3 except for the washing machine drawer but that looks OK. Wiped out the oven after dinner yesterday. Vinegar on a hot oven really clears out your sinuses.
Vacuumed living room and hallway and damp wiped living room.0 -
Time for a little break although not getting very far.
Pigpen 8 children is amazing, i cannot imagine what Fridays are like for you (kids rooms day!!)

Right quick update in the hope it will get me off my bum to do some more.
Kitchen all wiped down
Fridge (pretty empty got to do a BIG shop yet) so nothing out of date
Oven - Racks soaked, scrubbed and looking shiney (took about an hour)
Bulb bought and replaced in oven so I can now see how bad inside is. I have scrubbed it but will attack with the vinegar later after tea.
Hoovered through
Bathroom S & S (tiles polished)
DD1 pack lunch done and dropped at preschool
Trip to chemist for DH prescription (plus hairdye for me - how grey!)

Next stop coffee and lunch and take it from there.

erm... well.... I make them do them over the weekend lol.. I pick up stray dirty laundry and fill a bag with rubbish other than that.. the mess is theirs if they want to sleep in squalor that is their issue!Pigpen - You look about 28 from that pic. 28 and the rest.. lol.. my oldest is 16 in September!!!
Ok.. admission time.. I have NO grey hair (yet) though I am sure I will one day.. my SIL was horrified as she has loads and had to dye them for her wedding and is 5 years younger than me lol. I have only a few 'laughter lines'.. which I will be getting repaired once they start annoying me greatly.. vain I know but my family have NASTY crinkly bags under their eyes and I refuse to wear them they are not nice. Other than that I am about as mature as my 15 year old and don't worry about anything.. and I always wear a good face cream with SPF 15 or above and wear my sunglasses outdoors in ALL weather!!
Anyway.. stop making me blush and get back to work!!
Just checking what I have done off my list..

Thanks guys
really pleased you like it as I think it captures the mood for us all. Managed to get some A3 laminating pouches in Argos so used my points to pay for them, DS had KFC for lunch, treated him as it's not often he gets a treat on his own. Service details finalised with rector so all in all a good morning esp if you ignore the CHAOS here! lol
But I am feeling good about it all at the moment so that can only be a good thing.
Seems like you have all had a good morning (evening Denise) flying.
Well I shall away again for now and laminate stuff for Wednesday plus DD & DS's certificates that are waiting to be done, and I might even put the washer on!!!!!!!!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Oh boy - what a weekend - and not in a good way here. hope all of yours were heaps better! Great pics pigpen!
Been to docs this morning - still as bad as ever - permanent headache and earache, now my jaw - and all my teeth - ache too - and I have dental check up tomorrow !!! He took blood sample and pressed all my glands (not nice - ouchy!) and sent me away saying that when the results came back they'd phone if there was anything they could do - otherwise it would probably go away again .... Comforting ....
Soo- my flying will be feeble flapping I think till I feel better though have been to the PO and cleaned the oven so far today, as well as dailies.
Hope all goes well at hospital lil_me. I quite liked MRI scans - (yeah I know I am weird) but it was a chance to be still and on my own for a bit!!!
Need to get on with work emails etc and I need more aspirin ( the only thing that will even touch the earache!!)
Oh - he's selling us the house so all is going forward we hope - I will feel a bit more secure when our buyers have arranged their surveyor though - I keep thinking they are gonna pull out as well ...... the stress isnt over helpful at the moment! Saw our bank on Saturday about porting the mortgage and arranging survey - I have probably infected his air con unit so will pass on this virus thingy to everyone else who has a mortgage enquiry!!

Lovely wedding photos pigpen, you all look wonderful.
Garden looks great Shirley, lots of hard work must have gone into that. The back gate is purple only on the inside, so not likely to be seen, but you're welcome to pop round for a cuppa and check it out if you like!
AnW'sMum I have to agree with the others about those lyrics.
Wishing you luck with getting the garage sorted Denise.
Have you come up with a concoction for tonights meal with your store cupboard contents aimee?
tracy, pleased to hear that the Christening went well and you had a good time.
So far today I've had my hair cut, cleaned the utility room and the dining room and had a cuppa and a piece mincemeat cake with my dad when he popped round for a chat this morning. Am in the middle of washing the floors, hate this job!
One load done in the WM, really must iron something soon.
Need to check receipts against bank statement and decide on this evening's meal.
Back to it........it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

hello all,
pigpen, congrats on getting them all there and dressed, must've been a mission! i'm hvaing 4 adult bridesmaids, one small one and two small boys so hopefully not quite so manic!
i'm just trying to recover from a call from the wedding organiser at the hotel we've booked. the hotel has being sold so at the moment we're unclear how this will affect our reception. this just feels like one more thing i can't cope with and i've been in floods of tears! OH is quite calm though and says we just need to clarify things with them. we go on hols fri (i leave here thurs) for 2 weeks though so it couldn't be worse timing. i'm going to see the woman at 3.30pm so hopefully can find out more then!
once i've got dressed, my list for today is:
Level One
Clean floors
Level Two
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Declutter mission task
Sort any cupboard, doesn't have to be in the kitchen/dining room, even if it's just for 10 minutes
extras:
post books to library
do expenses and get cheque
2 loads of washing away
wm
start packing
clear up mess in lounge.
i'm meeting a friend for dinner tonight, she lives miles away and is visiting the area. in a way i could do without it now as she's quite hard work. i'm also picking friends up from the station at 11.20pm. another friend has asked me to take her to the airport at 5am on wednesday, i said yes cos i wasn;t sure how to say no, but now i'm regretting it as i am driving to west ireland (apart from the bit on the ferry) friday & sat. just all a bit muchMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I've cleaned the oven! Now I just need to confront the rest of the kitchen - am trying to focus on tiny bits at a time otherwise I'll end up like I was on Saturday sobbing into the cutlery drawer because I couldn't bear to put the knives in there because of the crumbs, but I couldn't clean the drawer out because there was nowhere to put all the cutlery....
On that note - I have an appointment with the doc tomorrow afternoon - so I've got to write down all the wibbly moments of the last few weeks, other wise I'll just walk in, feel silly and tell him that I just had a bad day yesterday and I'm absolutely right-as-rain now. I've also been really brave and rallied pals around to take the boys to have tea with them for the next couple of days. OH has been a star and has taken today off so that he can take DS1 to hospital for his check-up.
Anyway - I have actually done something to cross off the list. I'm now going to do the work-surfaces an inch at a time!Is it home time yet?0
