what a relief - saw a fabulous doc who didn't suggest that i should go back to work/put my children in nursery/find a nice hobby... in fact she has made an urgent referral to a psychiatrist so that I can be properly evaluated (ie officially declared barmy) and put on the right meds... such a relief!
I know the above sounds a bit trite, and it isn't meant to - it is just such a huge relief that the desperate highs and lows might at last get evened out :jIs it home time yet?0 -
AnW'sMum - hope you have a really lovely and special day tomorrow - revisiting lots of special memories and making some new ones to keep you going through the dark times.

And how did it get to 7pm? I've yet to make a start on todays jobs but I had a bi-monthly coffee at 3pm so I'm full of beans! (wonder if that's what it means?)
Just had a brief read of todays posts, Tracyg, glad you've had the professional verdict on what you knew to be so and you're happier now. Happyathome, glad too you went prepared and got the result you wanted. Half of us on here are officially and unofficially barmy, so you're in good company. Take it easy.
Once I've come off the phone to my mum (I'm making 'uh-hu' noises to her) I'll start on the livingroom!
AnW'smum, I hope it all falls into place tomorrow and we'll be thinking of you.

happyathome that is great news, and no it doesn't sound trite at all. Glad someone out there can understand and help you get on the right track.
Tomorrow will be a day for new memories, today has not been too bad overall. Have managed not to do too much clock watching but alas not much more flying either.
Just going to have a mini fly around the lounge before SIL arrives with her memory boards, her house is like a palace and it does make me feel paranoid at times but I wouldn't want to live in her house, too tidy to relax in.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I've had a much better day today with the little man, and what a difference that makes to flying and how i feel. He's in bed now but still awake, so i thought i'd have a bit of a catch up while he is talking away to himself. Don't want to start to do anything and have to stop. That's my excuse and i will be sticking with it

ShirleyPark we have to talk seriously about this purple plant. I don't know what it is either but it looks lovely. When you come to do my garden (and Happyathome's and Lil-me's) you can bring cuttings!
TracyG -- excellent news. My DGD was born with a few problems and for the first few months every time she saw a doctor they seemed to find something else for us to worry about. When you're told good news about a liitle one it's just the best thing ever.:j
Happyathome, you've got a good doctor there. You make me laugh on a daily basis, I'm so sorry that you sometimes feel down. If you ever need your very own granny just let me know. I'll even get a bun for the top of my head.
AnW's mum -- sending hugs to you. You sound like a great person, and so strong.
Lil_me I'm gald you're feeling a bit better
Have managed the level 1's according to plan today and even strayed a bit into the level 2's. Now have empty house and a totally lazy evening ahead of me. Hooray!0 -
Evening all :hello:
My mind has gone blank so all the things I thought I wanted to say are forgotten so I'm going to go for ato everyone (and double to those who need/want one :rotfl: )
I'm planning on sitting down and watching Springwatch in peace (well except for the twittering birds out in the back  ) and then CSI, bath & bed. Hopefully a warm relaxing bath will help me sleep as I'm already yawning! To sleep right through would be nice.

Hi everyone,
I have been popping in to catch up on the news, but have either been a) totally fed up with housework and the weather or b) outside gardening, or c) working!
Actually, I have kept up to date with the kitchen and bathroom, absolutely impossible to leave those two rooms for longer than a week with my family!!
I'm not working tomorrow (that is, not work that I actually get paid for!) so I shall try and whizz round the livingroom, which isn't actually too bad. I just need to find a bigger vase of flowers to hide the spiders' webs in the fireplace... and whatever is on the list for tomorrow - master bedroom??
Happyathome - I'm glad that your GP has been so supportive, and hope that your referral gives you an early appointment.
Hugs to all of you who need them this week.
All the best.
SerenaIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Happyathome well done for going back and getting the help you've been asking for, such a relief when someone actually takes notice and does something isn't it.
Serena good guess, just posted the list
Well I've packed a full case for our little break next week, still more to go so may need to split some into bags, not buying another case. Have packed most of the toiletries aswell. I'm usually packed and done by now but thinking if I do it in bits will be easier, this was done to save me putting some of the clean laundry awaymethod in my madness. Sat down as pain restarted darn it!
Anyway, rest of living room to do, washing up and floors have had to wait, asked DP to do one thing and put heater on, did he ? Did he heck!
Oh and don't panic, thread will be here next week, the lovely Michelle has said she'll look after things while I am away so no slackingsorry!
One day I might be more organised...........
