managed a fair bit of my list today, but not all. went to see the hotel sales lady, we don't have to decide for a few weeks what to do. the new owners will honour the booking but as we don't know who they are (and they only own one small 2* hotel) its a bit unknown. the other thing we can do is transfer to the other hotel in the original group, which would be my preference, but OH is not keen - he is convinced change of ownership should not affect us.... so our holiday hopefully will give us chance to discuss it. at the end of the day something will work out!
i'm also proud of myself as i told my friend that a 5am drive to the airport is just too much for me at the moment - not like me to look after myself, though i do feel a bit guilty now!

Morning all - another day, another crack of dawn start.
After playing with DS for half an hour I think he's starting to realise that he's still tired.
I might try and do a couple of bits here in the living room 'cause we're out a lot today.
Best of luck with the lists today....

I had considered moving it to where the coal bunker currently is, but that's still full of coal and have nowhere else to put the coal or the coal bunker.
Don't kill it! Well, if it is what I think it is, you would have a big problem: it sounds like a buddleia, and it is just the best thing in the world for attracting butterflies - and they are next to impossible to kill. What you can do though is wait until late atumn (actually nearer winter as you are lucky enough to live south) and prune it back so you don't have to put up with bare straggly bush in the winter months... You could move it then as well, and it would screen the coal bunker very well...
Hope this helps!
Oh lord - i've just read this and it sounds like I'm being a pain-in-the-whatsit know-it-all: but I can't think how to rephrase it, and I'm really truly not.

I don't think it's a buddleia, because next door have one and it keeps growing over the fence. I can't use it to screen the coalbunker as there is no available soil anywhere near it, only concrete, except of course under the coalbunker. Maybe I can move the bunker along onto the concrete ? Oh I don't know.

oooh... well, I don't know what that is (apart from maybe a pink furry fluffy Barbie buddleia!) - but you could certainly send it up here....I've got a bare bit out front (well, it will be bare when I've pulled up the weeds!) between a bergamot and an agapanthus that would suit it very well!
Why is the coal bunker not already on concrete? It seems a bit silly of the previous owners if they have sited it on perfectly good soil.... it won't be perfectly good, now though!
I've got lots and lots of manure up here that you could have... can't guarantee it is EColi free though (we reckon DS1 caught it from DS2 who was found eating handfuls of it in the vegetable garden last year: and public health had the cheek to ask me if I'd been feeding them hamburgers!!)
Got to go - DS2 has brought me a pot of moisturiser - without the pot....Is it home time yet?0
