The great thing about cats is that they warn all men that the new girlfriend might be a nutter.

Avoid female cat owners, they are all weirdos.

It sounds to me as if his hobby is his campervan and surfing. That you are happy to share it is fine, but if it feels like a chore I think it reasonable that you reduce your commitment to this if you choose.

5 weekends in 7 months is quite a lot, it is bit like insisting a girlfirend attend each month an away match of a favourite team and make a weekend of it.

If it is his interest not yours, then its OK to say you are happy for him to go off with one of his pals to do it.

I have had a campervan, we loved it, but we could take our dog with us and our adult dd looked after the animals at home.

I have a cat mate which is a battery operated feeder you can programme it for up to 5 meals on a timer so its great for long weekends. I have had it for a lo g time and rate ut very highly.
For longer breaks I use a cattery - would your boyfriend pay half the cost?

It may not be suitable for your cat, but people do take cats in campervans, usally they keep them on a harness, I've seen them being walked on sites.

I used a cat sitting service, £10 for an hour once a day. Would be fine for a weekend.
