I'm finding the heat harder to deal with at night, DH can't sleep with the fan on so I'm waking up cooking and can't get back over.

Am getting stressed about next week, my mum had said she would look after the girls when I went in but she was off for a couple of weeks so didn't have her hours yet. Rang her last night to be told she was off next Thursday but had swapped with a friend so she's now working - then followed it up with "What are you doing next Thursday that you need the girls minded anyway?" So DH is trying to find out if his mum can look after the girls, don't know what to do if they can't, both our sisters are working and my dad is looking after his elderly parents. Looks like I'll be delivering Wriggler by myself.

  • I'm exhausted too - I hope it's just the heat.

Girlzmum - I'm sure it'll work out in the end. You have some time to iron out the arrangements still.

nikki - I hope you're home safe and sound and the pain is better

I'm not at work this week but I'm seriously considering taking mat leave early if I feel like this. 28+6

fluffysox - Schloer Summer Fruit punch tastes exactly like Pimms and lemonade! They had some in Aldi near me recently. Also Asda do non-alcoholic cocktail drinks like pina colada and mojito.

This heat is really annoying me today. Can't get anything done without breaking into a sweat, and my kitten managed to kick some poop out of the little tray onto the floor this morning, so I've had to do a spot of carpet cleaning already which has made me ache and sweat! Just want to lie in the garden and not do any work!!!!

Wondering about monitoring movements now I'm feeling pretty strong kicks every day. How do you do it? Do you count 10 bursts of movement (I usually get about 4 or 5 kicks at once) over the day, or 10 individual movement, so about 2-3 bursts? do I need to keep record of when they are during the day so I can find a pattern??

    thanks!

It is 10 individual movements.. and it is really not relevant until later on anyway.. and so long as you are having some movement there isn't anything they can or will do. They just make you go in every couple of days for monitoring which is a complete waste of time.

High BP at my MW appointment has once again landed me in hospital! That and the fact I'm swollen all over and a trace of protein has got their pre-eclampsia bells ringing. They've booked me in for a scan at 1.20pm but not told me anything else so far which is frustrating!

Got tiny on the heart monitor and a few times now it's gone pretty high (over 160/170) but no one seems concerned about that either - I wish they'd just talk to me lol!

that's not high if they are having play time.. and if it comes back down again is what is important. .. a trace of protein just means you kidneys are not working as well as they should be and allowing proteins through, this can be caused by the excess liquid during pregnancy adding strain to them or could be a UTI .. They aren't telling you anything because they don't know anything!.. When they do they will tell you no doubt!

    Thanks pp :)

Just been for my growth scan and waiting for the doctor to come take bloods now before I can (hopefully!) go home. Baby measuring quite big so I've to have another scan in a couple of weeks.

ETA: Shows how much I know! I've to stay in overnight. Doctor says it's nothing to worry about (!) and if I wasn't so swollen she'd send me home but they want to monitor my blood pressure till at least tomorrow morning and get the results of those blood tests. Bit worried tbh but what can you do?
  • oh dear Claree, sorry to hear you're in hospital. At least you're in the right place if you do need treament. Bubba has a nice heartbeat which is a good sign too x

Oh Claree - I'm sure the heat isn't helping with the water retention but better safe than sorry. Hopefully you'll be home again tomorrow xx
