Claire did you get a response? I really hope you're not too worried
I'd love to stay at home as long as poss in labour, I have to go in as soon as I go into labour as I need antibiotics. I'm going to try & negotiate that I can go home then until the next lot.
Just been sorting out all the rubbish in baby's room so should be able to clear it tomorrow ready for furniture to come next week!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Thanks everybody.
My midwife has said she doesnt want me worrying for 3 weeks so to come in next Wednesday and she'll do the measurement and put my mind at rest.
At least then too it will be the same person measuring as the previous measurement was the gp. And I was a little surprised that that measurement was 24.5cm as I knew I was 24 weeks not 25 and I sort of expected to measure a bit small because Im a small person, so it really shocked me today as I really felt like my bump has been growing it just doesnt make sense to me. It kind of makes me think that perhaps before if the baby/braxton hicks thing hadnt been happening, I may well have measured at say 22 or 23 which would then be a growth to the 25 I was today.
It also means that if I do get there next week and it hasnt grown and I do need a scan, from what Ive read online and your posts that doesnt necessarily mean much anyway, but at least if there was a problem its best that I get a scan in say 1 week than in 3 so we can find out whats going on.
Its just frustrating as soon as I start to relax about anything at all in this pregnancy I feel like something bad or something worrying occurs.
On a different note I went into town with my Mum today and looked at buggys again.
Decided against the Mamas and Papas Sola in the end, nothing wrong with it, except we laid it flat next to the Sola City in the store, and the Sola city is smaller but otherwise pretty much the same so decided wed go with the City version if we go for that.
Then went to JL to look at the icandy Strawberry again. Bugaboo Cameleon has always been crossed off my list as I thought the wheels looked too big but the lady collapsed it for us and laid them side by side and the Cameleon was taking up less room I couldnt believe it, so now the Bugaboo is on our list!
Becca I know you are getting this - do you know if you definitely have to take the carry cot off the pram before you collapse it?
As the Sola city you can keep it on, which I like, but we werent sure about the Bugaboo and the Icandy strawberry as the woman said you couldnt, but my Mum said the lady in the John Lewis in another town told her you could keep it attached on the strawberry so we werent sure now if the lady in JL today had it correct or not!0 -
MrsBunny I'm washing everything in non-bio, baby's skin will be very very sensitive and you don't know what harsh chemicals they've used when manufacturing. I've only washed enough for her to have th basics- most places will let you swap for a bigger size if it's in original packaging so any that don't get used I'll take backLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

twigpig - don't know if I missed it on the other thread or here but did your additional scan go ok?
xx
Hey samtoby, yep, all fine as they had suspected. Just couldn't get a proper look at my unhelpful bundle. Tee hee. I have a scan each month for the next 3 with my blood pressure issues, so I'm lucky to have the opportunity to sneak another peak. Still staying team yellow though. Lol. Is it today for your scan? Hope it all went too. XTTC #3..........0 -
A few pictures for you ladies...here's my latest bump photo from yesterday, I look like I've swallowed a basketball!!!Here's the finished baby blanket
and I'm just finishing the binding on the quilt before I post a photo of that one
Cramping has subsided, so I'm going to go out for a walk with or without OH to see if I can get things moving again.
It does seem bizarre the problems youve had considering the nice bump you have there!0 -
Oh I asked my midwife about the anaemia thing, she said the cut off was 10.5 and I was 10.9. So Im not actually under their cut off thing but seems the dr decided to give me the tablets anyway. She said they test again at 34 weeks and it may well have gone up by then anyway.0

yep I swapped my washing to non bio a few weeks ago when I needed new supplies. I think I will wash some of the newer items, esp the bigger sizes and keep the others in their packaging until little one is here, just in case he doesn't fit in them. I have chosen his 'going home outfit' with a spare in a bigger size, just in case!! love putting the little vests and sleepsuits on the maiden....so so cute.
caught myself in the mirror earlier, have really popped out this last week, no wonder everything is an effort! glad to say it is all bump too. this is properly the first Christmas that I haven't pigged out on chocolate and rubbish, I can not eat full meals, when I do eat, I am full for longer etc.
just spoken to stepchange who we have a dmp with (sometimes I forget that this site is about money etc!), so happy that is sorted now, another load off my mind, had to reduce payments right now but its only temporary until I go back to work (not left yet but needed to get it sorted while I have the time!)
forgot to mention earlier that I hope your scan goes ok today sam, and kerri.....fingers crossed your little girl will be here soon, she may be waiting for all the fireworks on NYE to arrive in style. My mum use to be a nursery nurse and growing up, every year we went in to see the Christmas and new year babies (prob not allowed to now as we are talking 25 years ago!) that couldn't be home for the holidays.Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Claire - glad the mw got back to you!
I love our bugaboo although obviously not used it yet! You do have to take the carrycot off but it lies inside the frame in the car and also it's foldable itself. Plus it's one hand release & was one of the most secure I tried when releasing the carrycot. The carrycot is also suitable for overnight sleeping which is great for us as we have a few weddings/trips planned so we won't need to take any additional stuff with us sleep wise.
And the cabriofix fits beautifully!!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Thanks for adding me to the list bigzippy. :-)TTC #3..........0

Stupid question coming up...the ladies that are talking about washing baby clothes - are you washing everything, even the brand new stuff that's come in packaging? I don't have a problem with doing it but is it essential? It's not even something I've thought about! I assumed if it was brand new it would be okay for baby to wear straight away??0
