    Montessori sounds very interesting.
My hospital are being very cautious with me, blood pressure and temperature and baby heart monitoring 3 times a day, it is lovely to hear baby's heart but it all seems a bit excessive though I'm being a good and obedient girl!
The doctors have said they'd like me to get to 34 weeks before the c-section so that's next Thursday, but staying in hospital for that long when I don't feel there's anything wrong with me is bizarre. Oh well, 3 meals a day, bed changed for me, lounging in my pjs all day isn't a bad life, but I'm missing hubby every night, and he's suffering without me. We'll get through this and hopefully have a healthy baby at the end of it (but I can't stop the negative fears creeping in as well...)

Hope you and your hubby are OK Jox, it must be tough. Not long to go till you meet your little one and you can all be together again.

In the meantime I hope you have lots of magazines, books, access to a TV and a huge stash of selection boxes! :j

There are a number of great Montessori resources out there including:

    How we Montessori

    Montessori on a Budget

Both of these have recommended reading lists too. If you are keen to make the toys Kerri recommended a couple of good wood websites:

    Wood Works Craft Supplies

    Craft Shapes

I've seen these for sale too, which may be useful if you really want to keep baby with you for the full 6 months...

  • Okay which one of you lovely ladies has captured the sleep fairy and is holding her to ransom? :A

Luckily for me 'The Holiday' is on and I've written a review on dooyoo I'm restless and tired but do you think I can sleep? Can I !!!!!!y!
It's my own fault I've been adamant since I found out I was pregnant that she would be here exactly a month early and it would be the 28th because that was a day we've always remembered. I've always been told that she'll turn up on a day you've got something going on, rarely will she arrive on a day when nothing is happening and you're not preoccupied. So I think I've managed to trick my body into believing that I'm suffering from early pre labour symptoms like chronic backache, rolling rippling pain. But until my waters break I am not doing anything or traipsing up to the hospital. I've already had a false alarm and now I think I'm going a bit crazy:whistle::doh:_pale_

    Yeah I need sleep.....

  • The sleep fairy has definitely abandoned me!! Weirdly though I've just woken up from a dream where all the ladies on this thread had met up after having their babies for a night out! We spent the evening drinking cocktails then ended up in a night club where, I must say some of you were outrageously drunk!! Very odd but amusing! Need to get back to sleep soon, thankfully can attempt a lie in as it's a lazy Sunday for us! X
  • Hi all - I was lurking on the other thread but, like others, can't quite believe what I've read, anyway I'm 25 weeks now so should really move over!
I didn't know I was pregnant until 18weeks, then was told it was with twins, so quite a surprise. However, we've just about got our heads together and we're very excited for everything to come.

I've bought a pram - managed to get it v cheap with lots of loyalty points so very happy. That's about all so far though, I'm currently looking at reusable nappies - any recommendations?
I've managed to convince myself that Moses baskets aren't needed for us. I hope the twins will be happy to sleep together for the first 4-6 months so having one cot downstairs for day naps, one upstairs for night time is my plan.

Samtoby - I've had to take a urine sample to every appointment - I even got told off when I didn't take one to a consultant's appointment in the afternoon after giving one at a scan in the morning.

Thanks for all the answers re Moses basket. A travel cot makes sense, I guess we will see nearer the time!

Would you (and any of the other de-lurkers - Robots, Sunshine, etc ;)) like adding to the list? If so just post your EDD and what "team" you're on and either me or one of the other ladies will do the honours - unless you're feeling brave and wanna tackle the HTML yourself of course! :)

Yes please! My EDD is 15/06/2014.... 'team' to be revealed on 30th January! Thank you xxxx

Welcome to all the new ladies

I slept reasonably well last night and have managed to get up and do some laundry. Since our boy could be here in the next week or so I really need to get the house in order so I am not trying to get organised with a newborn about.

Today I am going to rope hubby into finishing off the wee bits and pieces in the nursery and to hoover the car and fit the car seat. Also join got have a play with the pram and the sling so I vaguely have an idea as to what to do with them.

Yesterday I went through all the local parent and baby groups to find out what is on and I have written them up in my diary so that there are plenty of things for me to go to if I want to get out the house. When I had my DD I was determined to stay indoors for weeks however I was in ASDA on the way home from the hosp and each day had to get out somewhere so I am prepared this time for places to go :D
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
