I have my DS old cot and it will fit in our room so that is the option now - no doubt it will change lol
Sounds bizarre but did everyone take a urine sample to their 20 week scan? It doesn't say whether I should?3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

It depends on it you're seeing someone after- I had to do one as I was seeing the consultant, but when I went back I saw no one after so none was needed. It was a nightmare cos I didn't realise so weed after the scan and was then told I needed a sample, had to drink water quickly, in a way it was a good thing they were running an hour behind lol
Be thinking of you on Monday, hope little one is cooperating so you can be reassured quickly. I had to have a repeat scan but that wasn't because anything was wrong but little lady wouldn't cooperate so I had to go back at 23 weeks so they could complete the scan, so even if you need to go back it doesn't mean there's something wrong xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Thanks TeamLowe - might do one just in case I can always throw it if not. Mind you it says I need a full bladder so could always do it there.
My friend is having a stretch and sweep Monday morning so I joked I might see her on her way to the labour unit as I go in for my scan!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

No I can't see why you'd need a sample Sam unless like TL said you were seeing a dr after.
I definitely didn't have a full bladder either, although my hospital tells you not to have one at either scan! I mean at 20 weeks the baby was so easy to see.
I'd just make sure you've had a fair amount to drink but don't go overboard our appt was about 30 mins late!0 -
Woah woah woah...*stretch* and sweep, what do they stretch??? Wait, maybe I don't want to know lol
And that reminds me, I knew my mil worked in the hospital I'll be giving birth in as a theatre assistant but on Christmas day it was revealed to me that the operating theatre is across from the maternity ward so if she's working she can come see the baby soon as it's born! Not sure how I feel about that, on the one hand it'll be lovely to introduce her granddaughter to her and she's a lovely woman so I'm sure she wouldn't do much more than a quick hello. On the other hand, I'd rather those first few hours were kept to me and DH to bond xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

l never took a sample to my 20 week appointment but I have got to take one to my consultancy app on tuesday and also one for my growth scan on 2nd Jan. But I'm sure its only because of my recurrent UTI's.

Stretch and sweep is where, if favourable, they insert a finger into your cervix and then using sweeping motions to try to separate the membranes from their cervical attachment. link and yes it can be painful. You can refuse to have one as it's a very invasive way of inducing labour.
Frugalbride - I stole the idea from Rummer after she told us about Montessori. We've got a few different Montessori things in baby's room, including a toppocino and some homemade Montessori toys. OH has just finished sawing the pieces of wood for me to sand & paint to make the Manuri mobile and I'm just finishing a high contrast black & white quilt to use as a portable movement mat. It's pastel colours on the other side so she knows that the high contrast is for play and the pastel for sleep.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hello,
Been lurking after all the to-do on the other thread, am 16 weeks tomorrow and had to ask those talking about Montessori, are there any books or sites you can recommend on the subject? I LOVE the high contrast mat!0
