Has anyone found anywhere with good sales ? Preferably online as I hate the shops.

    Loads still to get !!

Mothercare had loads on sale, lots of basics as well as outfits at half price, I had to be VERY restrained but everything got a good touching lol

Earlier on I couldn't close my legs as it felt like there was something in the way so I thought little miss had gone lower but her big bum just really hurt me when I tried to sit up straight as it's right under my rib cage, it amazes me sometimes how 'hard' she can be and feeling like a whole other being, most of the time she's just a part of me that moves more than the rest lol

From past experience all the baby events are in January. I'd wait for then if it's baby paraphernalia you're after :) all the supermarkets partake, in particular.

Bambi, do you know if you're expecting a girl or a boy? I'll add you as 'team yellow' for now, on the previously posted list and then change it later if needs be :) looks like neither of us were paying attention and that you have popped your head up previously, cos you're already on the list! :p

Claire...I don't want to alarm you, but it gets worse! :p it mostly gets better in the meantime though ;)

Grr woken up stupidly early and all I can think about is finishing baby's quilt. Cramping didn't come to anything yesterday, I even tried some aromatherapy oils but they just chilled me right out whilst I had loads of bh. Tummy still feels funny this morning though. May as well get up and finish the quilt :)

  • Morning all,

Have been here lurking over Christmas so as to keep up with everyone :-)
Everything is dandy here; think bubs is having an attempt at a growth spurt or is just really chilled out as she has been relaxing and just giving us little flutters/movements. Was getting myself a little het up over it so have been listening to her heartbeat with the Doppler (one of the best £20 we've spent)
Popped to Dunelm Mill with bf yesterday for new towels for us (I want hooded ones for baby) and ended up with the towels plus new bathroom mats and a rug for the lounge! Went to Makro for toilet roll (we always buy it on offer at 24rolls buy one get one free-usually we split it with his ts but we are keeping the lot this time so we have less to think about haha) also got our usual meat stash for the freezer and a couple of treats for bf.
Then we attempted the sales; I need foundation but Boots didn't have my shade, it was also manic so after about 1minute I was annoyed at people being too close! Bf got me a gel manicure set for Christmas so I wanted to check the cost of the polishes and found them at the last minute but they are cheaper direct from the manufacturer. We bought bubs a pram suit from Next and then bf wanted to get me a new at but I wasn't up for trying to battle through to BHS :-(

After visiting my parents three days in a row I have stayed home this morning whilst bf goes to work. Would have gone to visit again but I want to get some bedding washed and rooms straightened and Saturday mornings seem the best day. Plus we have a little laundrette on our housing estate (we're on an estate for the elderly as its an accessible bungalow) and with getting up when bf went to work I should be first in for the dryer hehe.

Our 4d scan is booked for the 5th Feb, can't wait as it seems forever since my 20wk scan and I feel like I need to see her again. Plus she will only be about 7/8 weeks off being here by then (gosh it sounds a lifetime away right now :-( ) so it should tide me over nicely until I get to hold her

Hmm having a battle with my brain, my nephew is 4 on the 2nd...do I get him a £30-40 transf0rmer (not that I want to spend that much but that's how much they cost) which will no doubt get broken within a few days or bored of....or do I go for 2 M3lissa & D0ug products (a see & spell, and a patterns) which are lovely wooden toys that provide educational benefit?

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Thanks for the sales advice :) it's more equipment I'm after rather than clothes as being a team yellow I'm not buying many clothes :) hopefully January will bring lots of nice sales !
  • I'm with Jox on this on Kerri :-)

Our neice is 13months and got so much tat for her birthday in November and Christmas I was relieved to have gone with my gut and got her a shape sorter and music cube for Christmas and a v-tech cow which sings/speaks and has buttons to fiddle with for her birthday!
Nephew who has just started school (will be 5 in May) got even more tat and he already has to sit in his bedroom to play and watch TV (don't get me started about a 4yr old having to play alone and having a wall mounted TV) so we only buy him gifts that he has to play with with daddy (e.g Lego/tools or mechanicy type play) or which foster imaginative play - dress up/crafts Etc :-)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Re bras I've also given up on nice ones, long before pregnancy! I've only gone up one back size & one cup size since being pg which surprised me. I've ordered from figleaves as they had a good sale & free delivery, although small selection in my size!

Kerri our 14 month old goddaughter got a zoo voucher for Christmas. We knew shed get loads of toys/clothes so wanted to get something different. Go for the educational bits! Hope you & BZ aren't waiting too much longer.

Really missing my parents today, Christmas has been rubbish tbh, looking forward to a bit of normality.

All fine with baby, lots of movement & BH. I haven't got another mw appt until 34 weeks now which seems a long time since my 28 week one!

Thanks girls, I'll go with the gut instinct and the educational bits then :) If anything he can keep them at my Mum & Dad's (they live round the corner) and play with them there where they won't just get chucked into one of the 1000's of plastic toys boxes.

Becca - our xmas hasn't been very exciting, OH has really missed going out and seeing all his mates in Cardiff. It's almost like Christmas has gone past and missed us this year.
