Hi all, just to add to discussions re bras, I'm a large size too (FF pre-pregnancy) and found debenhams best for fitting even though they only had a few maternity/ nursing bras in stock in my size. I bought a two pack Miriam Stoppard nurture bras from them and then ordered some m&s twin packs online, leopard print! Not as comfy but good value. If you are forced to get the cotton white granny bras don't forget the power of Dylon! I've revived boring undies with hot pink dye in the past, cheers them up lots!
Went down the high street today and bought some half price body suits, sleep suits and a sleeping bag. Still haven't packed hospital bag though!!fran-o0 -
Ive just been trying to do some sale shopping online but its annoying me so Ive stopped now. Got some nice sleepsuits from JL which I will pick up from Waitrose tomorrow.
Then found some stuff in the sale on the M&S site, put 4 items in my basket, then it said select the day you want the free collection from store - apparently you can get it from tomorrow but the first date was Jan 3rd! So I thought ok fine. But the calendar thing wont pop up. After revisiting the page several times, it popped up, I picked a date and then it said sorry one of your items cant be delivered to store please select home delivery. And pay £3.50 no thanks!
So Ive sent them a stroppy email saying it would be good if they could tell me which of the 4 items it is and baby wear is not listed in their list of items that cant be delivered to store like flowers etc which their silly link keeps sending me to. Ugh! I really want the stuff as well so hoping they reply with an answer.
I havent even thought about nursing bras. My boobs are still too small to be fitting in a C cup bra now - at least not like a non padded push up variety lol, so Im going to have to wait til nearer the time. My friend is a similar size to me and her boobs basically got massive right before she gave birth and then when her milk came in, so I might be waiting for a while.0 -
Popping in from 12-24 weeks to say I got bras from Jo at Bosom Buddies, she is Glasgow based and brilliant-she came to the house and measured me, so for anyone local I highly recommend her. I think she sells online as well if you know your size

Rummer - I'm with you on the trying everything in the book, I've done about half of them.
I seem to be getting some period type crampings this evening, I don't know whether it's my IBS playing up for the first time in 9 months or something more exciting. I am ever the optimist though I don't want to get OH excited yet so will wait it out and see if anything progresses.
I've been trying to understand effacement and dilation recently, saw a great article on it being like putting a turtle neck jumper over your head. Explains it very clearly when you think of it like that.
Ooh re: sales, I picked up a few bits in the n3xt sale yesterdayshe's going to look like I never buy her clothes as I just picked up the same thing in different sizes but I'm very pleased with my haul.

Sadly I think that is what it will realistically cost especially if you are a larger size. We had a talk from a bra fitting specialist and she highlighted that many of the pretty bras are not cotton so ill advised and the cotton ones tend not to be that bonny. I have budgeted around £100 for my bras.
Does your hospital not have a bra fitter linked to it? Ours does and she comes to the house to measure you or you can order online.
I have woken up with a horrid cold this morning and coughing is no joy.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
Kynthia, I forgot to reply the other day... I can't think of a single reason why acidophilus could be a problem in pregnancy (or the 2ww?) - it's just a dose of the good bacteria you get in live yoghurt (you could just eat a load of yoghurt, but I can't overdo dairy due to IBS and, at various points during pregnancy, I haven't wanted dairy at all)...?? What was the advice for 2ww based on?
Re bras/nursing bras: I got an Emma Jane one, for £16 IIRC, from k1ddicare when I was in there around 32(??) weeks and by 35 ish weeks it was too small on the back size. I think my rib cage will go back down/smaller once I've given birth though and I'll be back in it then. They're very similar to the Bravado ones sold in JL for £30, which I now have an XL of. For reference, I was in 36D(D) before and now I'm something like a 40F. They might not be the most form fitting/sexy but they are comfy and better support than the sports bras and crop top style that I've been resorting to.;)
Kerri - does your pelvis from the front and underneath feel like you've been kicked by a horse? And bruised and/or pulled muscles/ligaments when you try to get up etc? I am really struggling with this in particular, over the last few days, along with baby keep finding and lying on my sciatic nerve  and the BH of course

Have just told OH about my dodgy tummy and that he can spend all evening playing computer games if he wants as I'm not sure baby is going to be in for much longer. Tightenings are going round to my back although nothing that I can time just yet.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

oddly sitting down made it worse and walking hurt initially but as I walked it off it seemed to ease.
I've got exactly this too. Baby was so low at my 20 week scan that they couldn't get all the head measurements and i had to have a rescan. So could well be to do with baby dropping.Mortgage when started: £330,995
