Birdie - I have OH's exercise ball, I think they're cheaper than official pregnancy ones but they're the same thing. You can squish them with a big dumper roller and they don't pop.

I've just woken up for the 5th time today, I'm soooo tired. If this is my body gearing up for something in the next few days then my Mum best get crocheting quickly or the shawl she's making will never be finished in time :p

Does anyone else have people saying "they can't be born on this date" or "they best be late as I've not done xyz for them yet"? I just want her here safely whenever that may be, I know my body is ready for her to release the "let's go!" hormone and the house is ready now other than the flipping car seat! Which still hasn't arrived.

Rummer - I made this picture for her wall yesterday, google images "baby art cards", printer and tracing paper, oh and some artist pens :D Just need Daddy to hang it now. Loving the Montessori things though.

Feeling jealous of all the decorating nursery talk, I'm in a one bed flat and baby will have to stay in with us until we upgrade to a 2 bed flat one day!

Really haven't been hungry at all, might account for my small baby! Had scan at UCH in London today, they were lovely and thorough, reassured me that all seemed to be well with baby and he's still a boy, he's just a little 1.3kg at the moment, need to go back in 2 weeks.

They've taken blood to check me for any infections that might account for smallness but said it might just be because I was a small baby and am now a small lady!

Sonographer said my baby is a very busy boy, he wouldn't stop moving, he's too busy moving and needs to get busy growing!

His head is down so when I feel discomfort in my ribs it must be him kicking me!

Will probably have to have c-section too as placenta is covering cervix still.

Sleep has been very disrupted last few weeks, am tired....

    32 weeks tomorrow :)

    Afternoon Ladies and Bumps :)
Breastfeeding workshop this evening, DH is nervous about there being audience participation lol
I felt tingles from about 14-15 weeks, proper thuds at 17 weeks and it wasn't til about 24 weeks that DH managed to catch her - i say managed to catch her, he rested his head on my belly and she gave him a kick and he jumped a mile! lol I'm a big girl so just beginning to see things from the outside, which is really weird

think the sonographer being wrong is why i've not bought many outfits just yet - don't want to get her cute girly things then she comes out with a todger lol although mothercare have some gooorgeous things in their sale

finally ordered my changing bag- first i forgot i needed one then i couldn't find one for a decent price, but one i saw and liked in mothercare for £45 was £20 when I had a quick look on amazon. once i've got that and some nighties for hospital, i'll get mine and baby's bags packed then we're completely ready :D

Was going to get an isofix base but Kiddicare demonstrated it in the car and i didn't realise but a good quarter of the base comes off the seat at the front! well didn't like that, doesn't looke right/safe at all plus it meant we couldn't have the backseats a bit forward like we'd need for having the carrycot in the boot.

Just clerked my final meeting :jwas really funny as before it started i went to tell the main officer and the chair that it would be my last meeting, they hadn't seen me since September so were a little suprised by the bump and when i tried to explain they said 'like it's not obvious' lol
went on for two and half hours so now my hips and bump are sore, going to be quite waddly later x

Those of you who have bought bottles - what brand did you go for ?

I will try to breastfeed but even if it goes well will still need to use bottles as I have a weekend away when baby will only be a few months plus OH is going to help with some of the night feeds.

I have a huge to buy list, hope no one minds me posting it and clogging up, anyone can feel free to point out things I have missed also!!

    Still to buy

    Bottles/steriliser
    baby bath/bathing accessories
    changing mat
    changing bag
    cot and moses basket mattresses
    car seat
    baby monitor

What we have already or arranged

    pram/travel system - parents buying
    cot/moses basket
    some baby toys, bumbo chair
    some neutral outfits
    muslin squares, bibs etc

I haven't included things like nappies as we are trying to get the big buys out the way and I don't want to buy too many of a certain brand anyways incase they don't suit. Also we are team yellow so not buying a lot of clothes just now, just the basics.

Con - you might not need a baby bath, we're going to bathe her in a washing up bowl until she's bigger. The only bathing accessory I have for her is a sponge and one of our flannels. We're also not getting a baby monitor as we're going to use an old laptop with webcam if we feel we need one. I think having it will make me more paranoid than just trusting she'll be sleepy ok at 6 months, before then she'll be in with us anyway.Bottles I've got a couple of little Avent ones my sister picked up in a sainsbugs sale ages ago, and an avent steriliser that my Mum bought when my sister was expecting :)

TL - congrats on the good price for the changing bag, what one have you gone for? Hope the BF workshop goes ok, I found ours was really pushy with it and wouldn't discuss other options. So if they don't discuss other options in yours, don't take it to heart if you're thinking of mix-feeding or expressing.

Jox - glad your baby is head down, walking 1-3miles a day keeps them that way apparently. Hopefully the results of the tests will reassure you that he's only small because you're small and at least they're keeping a watch over you.

AFM - I just did my 1 mile walk down to the post office. I've got pains in my abdomen again and a shooting pain across the back of my left hip. Joy! Baby also has hiccups! The walking is giving me swollen ankles as well :( not fun grr.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Afternoon ladies hope you're all ok :) 2 days until I finish for Christmas!

Lots of lovely nursery themes! We have 2 possible nursery rooms, one pink & one blue so will wait until baby us here before deciding which one. If it's a boy though I'm getting the balloon friends range from Next

I'm starting to get a bit anxious about labour & what they will/won't let me have. Have a consultant appt in Jan but I feel like I'm really whittling about it at the mo!

con... that Charlie and friends range was my second choice, it's lush!!!
We went for the jungle for 2 reasons...
1: We originally wanted hungry caterpillar, so had bought the Eric Carle prints and then discovered the bedding etc was going to cost a fortune, as I could only find it in America. Boo! So then looked at the prints and there were a few animal/jungle type ones, so that made sense as a theme, then I walked into Dunelm and fell in love with it!
2: Hubby wasn't keen on the mice... no idea why, something to do with the fact we have a cat??? (He does have some strange ideas... good job I love him!!!)
Definitely worth looking at both though, they're very similar colours wise etc.

    Wha.... mice... ?

I may change my mind too when I see it lol... we have mice atm in a cupboard!! It's being dealt with by pest control thankfully but yeah I might not be keen on them either, will have to have a proper look. Were they in your local store to have a look at them ?

I too saw lots of lovely sets but all from America and far too expensive to ship :( I loved the Jungle Safari sets.
