My mum asked me to let her know when baby was moving last night as she's 'never felt a baby kick before!' I said 'mum you're 70 and you have 2 children!!!' She just said it was too long ago to remember what it was like!!!0

Oh jeez just discovered first stretch marks too, on underside of bump... Not a glamourous day for me! :eek:fran-o0

Claire, I'm stupidly hungry a lot of the time too.
On Sunday we had my family round for lunch and I had a massive plate of food, polished it all off then went back for seconds which was pretty much the same again! Everyone was just watching me in awe and shock at how much I ate!
I wish I could say that was a one-off!
Glad you are feeling better now Becca.
Sorry to hear that you've been unwell Rummer. *hugs*
Con, our nursery is pretty gender neutral even though we know we're having a boy (just have to change the prints on the wall if he happens to come out with girl bits!) and we've mainly worked around the Mamas and Papas Jamboree collection with other brightly coloured bits thrown in.
I love the jungle stuff Emz linked to though, very cute!
As for movements, I didn't feel definite movement until 22 weeks, had some flutters that I was unsure of a couple of weeks before that. Now at 32 weeks little dude is very active and just loves to boogie all day long! OH hasn't felt many movements though as baby must be scared of him!
Boo to finding a stretch mark Fran! Rubbish!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Kerri - I'm the same as Rummer, when I went into labour I KNEW about it!!! :_pale_
Re TENS machines - I had one with DD1. Contractions still took my breath away and that was while I was still at home. Had one ordered on hire from Boots for DD2 but she was breech so I cancelled my order. Then the little monkey turned at the last minute. Oh well I thought, it didn't make that much difference last time. Then going without it I realised it must have been doing quite a bit as I got to hospital ok first time at 4cm. Second time (5cm) without I was bent over in agony struggling and desperate for some painkillers.0 -
Con - I felt flutters from 14w, OH felt baby at 17w. But I think I might be an exception as you can literally feel every part of baby's body due to my thyroid medication not allowing me to gain weight as it keeps my metabolism elevated. I got so upset when the MIL told OH I was lying and it was too early, that when she visited a few days after I forced her to feel the baby move.
I remember you talking about that Kerri, I was so jealous you felt movements so early... Not jealous of your MIL though, she sounds a real delight
I am finding I only really fancy strong flavours at the moment, nothing bland, so got a homemade lamb curry on the go in the slow cooker (3 portions, so will freeze 2 for after baby comes!) which has tomatoes, peppers, onions, lentils and potato so I am getting plenty of fruit and veg too!
That said I am making some bad choices with food..... sitting on the sofa eating Celebrations like they're going out of fashion and defensively shouting "CRAVINGS!" every time DH gives me a funny look :rotfl:0 -
I love that jungle theme from dunelm, we have one nearby so might pop down at the weekend. It fits with the colours I'm wanting .
day of rest today I've woken up with a cold and upset tummy. Had my first Indian last night in a while and it was lovely but garlicy and garlic doesn't mix well with me I get acid reflux boo. Good at the time eh lol!

If our girl comes out as a boy he'll be sleeping in a pink Moses basket lol!
I have got a few gender neutral bits but most are pink or have some sort of girly thing on them.
So let's hope the sonographer was right!0 -
Lol Claire we're the same, the room is neutral but all the clothes seem to be pinks. I'm not evena pink kinda girl lol andi never ever wear it myself.
Trying to decide whether I should do my mile walk today or not. Not sure that I want anotherd day of tightenings but then again it is good for me. ..Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Claire ad Kerri we're the same too! If the sonographer was wrong and bump is a boy then he has a pink room and lots of girl clothes!
Trying to book my antenatal classes and there is no answer at the community midwives office. I've left two messages and will try again if no one gets back to me by 3pm.
Baby seems to have times when she's still/just little movements for ages and ages then has a rave for a couple of hours!
Very little motivation today; I would quite like to be able to pop to town and but my sausage roll for tea and a diary insert then go home and spend the afternoon working out hospital bag contents and being festiveTonight is going to be a long one with going to training (won't be home until gone 11pm if not closer to midnight!) so I'm trying to psych myself up for that and work out what I will have to do there as I can't ref etc at the moment
Going to feel like a pointless spare for a bit I think!

Our nursery may be fairly neutral, but if our boy does come out as a girl she'll be wearing jeans and little lumberjack shirts for the first few months of her life!
Just had my physio appointment about my general everything hurts-ness and been sent away with a support belt and some exercises along with instructions to make sure I get out of my desk chair every 30-45 minutes for a stretch. She also suggested I get an exercise ball so I guess I'll have to pick one up on payday.
Was quite funny as she was pressing on my pelvis at one point and baby mustn't have liked it as he gave a big kick that made my whole belly move!
