Finished up for Christmas today yay !!

Have left one of my presents in work though, was a nandos voucher... in two minds to go back and get it or just wait til I am back on the 27th...work isn't too far from me so may go in if I am passing.

Baby been kicking like mad today, I feel it inside but I haven't sat with my hands on my tummy enough to know if it can be felt out yet... when did you all start feeling from outside ??

Thinking of a rainbow theme for nursery but struggling for inspiration... I need to keep the room gender neutral and don't really want lemon... any of you in team 'yellow' have plans yet ?

All quiet on the western front for now. I find BH really annoying as I have no idea whether I should time them or not lol. Plus they were more a constant pain with tightenings than anything rhythmic or countable.

I don't know if it the same for others however there was a clear distinction between my BH and real contractions. When I went into labour with my DD there was no doubt about it at all.

con1888... We're team yellow and we've gone "jungle" themed... all because of Dunelm Mill's Jungle Time range!

I fell in love with the curtains and luckily hubby agreed. We've got some Eric Carle (Hungry Caterpillar) prints framed and jungly storage boxes. We're waiting til January in case the curtains go in the sale, then I'll pop some pics up. :)

Con I felt flutters at 17 weeks, I think I could feel on the outside at around 18/19?

It must have been around then as I know when I had my 20 week scan -which was actually done at I think 19 and a bit, I could feel the baby stick her back right out in a certain place which she still does now and the sonographer confirmed that was where she was lying!

So I felt like a body move, and then the thumpy type kicks.

Then maybe around 22ish I started to see my tummy pop a bit, and now I can see that plus bumpy type movements! And yesterday & today she's been sticking her back out again and it hurts! :)

Took longer for DH to feel it as she'd always stop when I called him over. But he felt some a couple of weeks ago I think just before 24 weeks, and a lot more last weekend at 26.

Con - I felt flutters from 14w, OH felt baby at 17w. But I think I might be an exception as you can literally feel every part of baby's body due to my thyroid medication not allowing me to gain weight as it keeps my metabolism elevated. I got so upset when the MIL told OH I was lying and it was too early, that when she visited a few days after I forced her to feel the baby move.

I guess I better start feeling on the outside for baba lol it's really quite significant feelings so more than likely can be felt
But never seems to happen when my hands are on bump. I'm overweight though so perhaps not lol!

Is everyone ravenous all the time? Im currently sitting watching the great British bake off & thinking hmm might make that chocolate ganache cake at the weekend. And also what can I eat next? I've just had my dinner, then a small chocolate caramel dessert then a jam doughnut. Now I'm thinking about the Ben & Jerry's in the freezer!

That's been me too recently - we went out for a meal on Saturday whilst we were away and I had a big main plus Pavlova for dessert and then when we got back to the caravan I had bread and butter, a bowl of chocolate misshapes (maybe 8 or so), popcorn, miniature heroes, hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows all in the space of two/three hours!

As of yesterday I'm trying to get back in to better food choices, I've been having very snack lunches made up of lots of little slightly junky things and small brekkies recently. Yesterday I had cereal and milk for breakfast then a tub of pasta salad, an orange, apple crisps and natural yogurt for lunch. Today we have a very late night and no real 'evening meal' so the plan is:
Beans on toast plus small bowl of cereal for brekkie
Jacket potato with tuna and salad plus an apple, an orange and natural yogurt for lunch
Sausage roll whilst at training tonight (bought on lunch break)

Still not the best but its hard when we have game night

I felt baby move from 16weeks ish, bf first felt it a couple of weeks ago so maybe 23/23weeks. Now at 25 we are starting to be able to see kicks/punches/,movement from the outside :-)

I first felt flutters around 18 weeks I think, and had recognisable baby movements after my scan, around 22 weeks, hubby could feel from outside then too.
My last day at work today then on leave tomorrow til 2015! We had our office party last night: buffet food and wine in the office, pictionary on a big sketch pad, secret santa, my boss said a few nice words and they gave me a leaving pressie. So today should be a fairly quiet easy day as the managers were drinking lots last night!
I'm doing ok, woke up with crampy painful legs again this morning (a regular thing now) and am having a few problems with my bottom... Need to get drinking more water and eating more fibre and might go see doctor tomorrow.... Spoke to midwife Monday and she suggested a cream to use. Unpleasant side effect of pregnancy.... :(
So pleased to be finishing up at work today then will need to finish Christmas shopping, pack hospital bag and get organised for January x

  • I didn't feel anything until exactly 20 weeks. It was fairly intermittent until around 22/23 weeks when I started feeling more pronounced movements. Now at 27+5 and she's pretty much non stop! Well she has her quieter days and then her 12 hour disco shifts!!
Hubby has felt a few kicks so far but not many as she usually stops when he comes near! I've seen movement but it's not obvious unless you're really looking for it!
