That's a great deal Sidney! :T I've got the Oyster (brand new though, the in-laws were paying! :o) and really like it so far but obviously have no idea yet about how good it is just yet. I'd just be careful about buying a car seat second hand unless it's from someone you know and trust as you don't know what knocks they've been in. We just weren't willing to take any risk in that sense. :)

My OH can be 'funny' in uncomfortable situations too. It is so annoying! :p If he starts when we're in the hospital I'll be kicking him out of the room!

Annoying about being sent for yet another scan Kerri. Hope it's a quick in and out jobby. :)

    Glad Aliona's doing well Abi, she's a beauty. :)

Scan was fine, they're really impressed that the 5 scans are plotting like a textbook entry. I can't believe I've had 5 additional scans! Pointless waste of NHS resources just because the stupid midwife doesn't put the back of the bed down. I'm still getting tightenings from this morning's walk to the midwife. I don't know how regular they are though and I've changed to different positions but they're still not disappearing. There's some pains across my lower abdomen and I've had lots of pelvic pressure.

I might look on eBay for 2nd buggys but then as my parents said they'd buy us one I reckon my mum will just want to go to her favourite shop john Lewis lol

Just echoing birdies thoughts, don't buy a car seat off anyone you don't trust/have a funny feeling about.

We are getting a spare car seat from DHs work client as it's such a bargain but we can trust her for sure.

At least check that on their advert they specify it's not been in an accident as that might show that they at least know themselves it's a concern?

Or just buy the buggy 2nd hand and get new car seat in jan sales?

Baby's head I think is pressing just at the bottom of my bump again, really makes it ache!

My gap sale stuff from the internet has arrived, yay!

    hello ladies,

well after me posting last night about not been able to sleep.....I did fall asleep eventually but over slept this morning!! I remember setting my alarm for 0645, but when I woke up at 0750...I was rather confused! Looked at my alarm again and said 0845 on it...whoops! only ended up being half an hour late for work in the end (was meant to start at 0830)......but the traffic was really bad.....!!

Got an email this morning saying 50% off at Mothercare....nothing that I have my eye on is in the sale but may be useful to someone?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for all the hugs ladies, feeling better today! Was sick yday & felt v 1st trimester-ish!

Mincepiemonster thanks for the tens machine link, it's something I've thought about.

All this talk of birth plans has made me think DH & I need to sit down & at least talk about it!

Claire do we have the same DH?! Mine is terrible when he's in situations like that!

Had 28 week appt today (29+1!) and she was really dismissive! Bump is measuring 29cm and all is fine :)

Picked up my tesco clothes sale order today, beautiful!!

Hugs to those under the weather

I didn't make a detailed birth plan for my first pregnancy and for this one there is little point as complications mean I will just have to go with the flow. What I do plan on doing is a few quick bullet points of things I would ideally like but no more than 3 or 4.

The last few days have been horrid and I have been very unwell. Hoping at my appointments that I will get more info on when he is likely to joining us.

Becca my tesco order is ready to collect so gonna get that tomorrow & my gap one arrived today!

    Sorry youve not been well.

Rummer sorry to hear you've had a bad few days too, hopefully things will become clearer soon.

Is everyone ravenous all the time? Im currently sitting watching the great British bake off & thinking hmm might make that chocolate ganache cake at the weekend. And also what can I eat next? I've just had my dinner, then a small chocolate caramel dessert then a jam doughnut. Now I'm thinking about the Ben & Jerry's in the freezer!

It's partly that unless I'm constantly eating I start to feel a bit nauseous but I also feel really hungry. And I find it hard not to eat rubbish. I'm not really a savoury person. The only way I distracted myself the other weekend from chocolate was to make cheese covered nachos with salsa, guacamole etc!

So no I'm not partial to nibbling on carrots before any one suggests that :)

I'm trying to eat fruit but all the stuff I like like cherries costs a fortune at the mo.

All quiet on the western front for now. I find BH really annoying as I have no idea whether I should time them or not lol. Plus they were more a constant pain with tightenings than anything rhythmic or countable.

It's really annoying, I can't believe I've had 5 extra scans. I'm more annoyed as I'd grown 5cm between appointments and I was on track for where I personally should be, I'm not a ruddy textbook.

All this talk of spare car seats and pushchairs has me wondering whether we should have a spare? Although we have a sling. Saying that our car seat hasn't arrived yet, we've had to borrow one of our NCT groups spares just in case.
