baby was wriggling like nothing on earth this morning and my belly was like a big wobbly blancmange! So I got my phone out to take a video thinking hubby would like to see this and as soon as I click record it stops!!! They definitely know what were up to don't they??!!0

Oh Amy how exciting for you, I have no idea what SS or QQ are though? Fingers crossed you get to have the natural birth you wanted in the first place and they don't mess you around anymore. Just remember you'll soon be seeing your little one and whatever birth they ends up having they've got you as a Mum xx
re: socks - I no longer wear them around the house and take them off as soon as I get home, but I get RLS so have to do that anyway. I had a really twitchy leg last night, I think my magnesium levels have gone down again, more pills to pop!
smartcat - I've done a hypnobirthing course, I can now relax my face in less than 10 seconds and be in a deep state of relaxation within a minute. It's fantastic and I really hope it works during the birth. I've found the techniques to really work when I'm walking around and get aches, or for BH, or just aches in general.
MPM - thanks for the milk idea, I was trying to work out what to use for a base for putting lavender in the birthing pool (if allowed) as it can burn baby's corneas if put in neat. I'm doing great thoughnot really feeling impatient as I have a quilt, 4 baby mobiles, a mobile tripod, and a birth plan to make within the next 5 weeks. I'm working on the premises that I do one thing for the house and then I can do as much for the baby as I want in a day
although trying for one thing a day for baby at minimum.
Squirrel - the amount of times our little one has done that to me is ridiculous, it's like they know!!!
afm - I ended up going to sleep in the spare room last night whilst sniffing lavender essential oilThen woke up for a wee in the middle of the night and went back in with OH. Woke up totally refreshed, however I did have a weird dream that I was toddling around with OH then suddenly could feel baby couldn't breathe! When I looked down the sack of waters had miraculously birthed itself with baby inside, and the baby was suffocating. However, when we broke the waters to pull them over baby's nose, it was a cat!!! I'd given birth to a cat that looked exactly like our Leo!!! My mind boggles. I also remember I was most annoyed at having spent 9 months pregnant to give birth to a cat as I'd have to wait another 9 months for our little one.

Squirell, they definitely know what's going on! Baby was doing the conga last night, as soon as I told OH and lifted my top up so he could see, he stopped!
Kerri, SS and QQ come from the TTC thread.SS = Symptom Spotting and QQ = a poster called QQuaver, she used to run the thread and kept everyone in check with her wagging finger so we'd behave!

Amy, your epic post was lovely, I think you included everyone, made me feel happy to have a mention
I can put my right leg in my tights then have problems getting my left leg in (same with knickers lol).
OH hasn't been working for a few months and putting on weight and job searching online every night and feeling demoralised and then last Friday managed to sell his car that he's been trying to sell for about a year and got a call about an interview!
He had the first interview on Monday, second on Tuesday and started yesterday. It seems like a tough job, long hours and not great pay to begin with, but he seems to think it will get better when he proves himself so let's hope so.
He got home 9.30pm last night - I had been home a couple of hours and did a marathon cupboard clearout and clean. Poor guy then couldn't sleep til 3am, I was awake too and he had to be up at 7.30am for another tough day today. I think me and him need a lavendar bath and hot milk tonight!
Baby moved loads all day yesterday which was great, he's been quiet today so maybe worn himself out. I wanted hubby to feel baby move in bed but typically baby didn't oblige!
Growth scan next week, I'm trying to be positive that baby is ok.

Is it just because we are pregnant and more aware or does there appear to be more baby related news around? Just seen something on the BBC about women being left alone in labour. Everything I read seems designed to scaremonger. I can't even stop reading the news as it's an integral part of my job!!0

I've been thinking that too Squirrel! I wonder if we're just noticing it more because it applies to us? I got really annoyed at the story yesterday about maternity pay being cut at some point... it's already way too low, how can they make it even less?! Think they're going to try to turn us into America where you get 12 weeks at 'Standard Disability Pay' and nothing else! If that happens I think we should move to Canada- 1 year off at half pay the entire time!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Oh yeah I saw that yesterday but it was in the Daily Mail so I took it with a pinch of salt!! No more babies for me then if it's true!!
I guess because there's a bit of a baby boom news people are looking for stories that will interest readers but let's have something positive for a change!!!!0 -
