Nice to hear from you BZ, I always like to hear what's going on with everyone, even if it's just little funny things about babies kicking in dodgy places or moans about errant hairs and skin tags!
It's good news that they'll induce you if it gets too much, nice to have that back up and you know that if it did get to that stage you won't then have to fight for an induction!
TL, sometimes you can't win with babies can you? If you weren't taking Little Miss to the wedding people would be telling you that she can't rule your life, she has to fit in with what you want to do and you need to get her used to travelling from an early age!Don't worry about it, I say just play these things by ear. I'd actually rather take my baby away with me than leave him with someone else for the weekend at that age and I'm sure most people would feel the same!
As for Christmas, I have no idea what OH has bought me.There's a Blu Ray by the looks of one of the presents, but can't figure out anything else.
We've got a really low budget this year so there won't be much. I accidentally went over budget so one of his presents is coming from the baby!
We're having a dress-up meal out on New Years Eve, friends are having parties but that's just not going to be fun for me at all and OH is actually really looking forward to having a quiet one this year. Nice meal, couple of drinks in a posh pub then onto the marketplace for the fireworks.Really looking forward to it.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I've got my 25 week gp appt in 2 hours thanks for reminding me I need to bring a sample! Luckily I have a pot!
My sister is getting married the beginning of May! If I went over due the baby could be about 4 weeks old!0 -
Hope the appointments go well ladies.
Is anyone making any herbal bath thingys for postpartum? I've found a recipe I like the sound of (as long as I don't end up smelling of garlic). Although I'm wondering if OH will think I've gone full-blown hippy with it...http://www.growinghomeblog.com/2013/03/how-to-prepare-postpartum-herbal-bath.htmlDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

There's a family celebration 6 weeks after my due date and my parents have already decided on an overnight trip and booked us all in a travelodge. I was a bit surprised and I wonder what it will be like with a newborn, especially if I'm overdue and the baby's only a month or I have a cesarean to recover from. Clearly my mum thinks it's fine.
Ps. My baby is measuring fine and has a heart rate of 142. :TDon't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Wow the gro bag I ordered from eBay yesterday has just arrived! It was free postage too!0

TL (and Claire just seen you have a wedding too!) you'll be fine at the wedding, easier when they're a babe in arms than a toddler for sure! I guess it's just a case of going with the flow - if you're taking the car, you can always take her for a whizz round the block to get her off to sleep if she becomes over stimulated. Might be worth looking at buying/borrowing a decent sling as well - wrap slings are easy, will fit you and OH, come in loads of colours (if you're bothered about co-ordinating :rotfl:) and start at about £20 depending on brand! I remember taking DD to the post office when she was 3 days old - had to post my TENS machine back - and the ladies there were all so shocked she was out of the house! I think we're a lot more chilled than previous generations in that way!
BZ your baby is very well behaved being engaged so soon! Bet it makes walking uncomfy. Great excuse to sit and eat chocolate (do we need an excuse?!)
Becca I imagine you are on your feet most of the day so more than ready for maternity leave! I guess it means that if you have the full year (can't remember if you were planning to) then you will go back after the Xmas hols, which might be not be a bad time of year for the kids to have a change of teacher.
Kerri I quite agree with KScarlet, we have loads of books. I love the fact that I could get all my childhood favourites on Amazon / Ebay. Julia Donaldson books (there is a collection of 10 for £10 on Book People atm ) are lovely stories that DH and I enjoy reading too.
Kynthia great news
35+1 today and in denial!0 -
Yeah a sling sounds good.
I'm a bridesmaid but luckily the dress isn't too fitted has an elasticated under bust bit! And my SIL had already volunteered her services for helping DH when I'm in photos etc.
There will also be my cousins 2 month old if her baby comes on time, a friends 18 month year old & another friends 6 month old, so my sister was like well I may as well set up a nursery at my wedding! Luckily she loves babies!!
Just had my appt, fundal height was 25cm so bang on for 25 weeks so I'm happy about that! She could tell where the baby's back was which is the bump hard bit I've been feeling and said she thought the head was below that so clearly she likes being upside down diagonally lol!0 -
I was just about to comment that you should make sure you wear a skirt/top rather than a dress for the wedding in case you're breastfeeding... and then I noticed you're a bridesmaid, Claire... so not much choice!
Do ensure the dress is easy to open and slip the shoulder off. At a couple of weeks old, baby will be feeding every 2 hours, if not more frequently.Mortgage when started: £330,995
