Eugh, OH has just text to say his Dad is arriving at 5:30pm, OH won't be home so I'm going to have to entertain grr. Have put the heating on already as I'm chilly and don't want it to seem like we're miserly (I never have the heating on until OH gets home, would rather sit under the duvet or blanket much to the cats' disgust). I'm going to have to change out of my PJs aren't I :( OOooohhhhh! 3 more days of work left, plus I'm on call this weekend but shouldn't get called out fingers crossed :)

Thanks Birdie, I must called the Dr's and get the Mat form sorted quickly.

Don't worry about being grumpy abis21 and I'm sure your Mum will understand that you are uncomfortable at being overdue.

Nobody will touch me re prolapse until baby arrives apparently so I've just got to keep doing pelvic floor exercises. It makes me feel very self-conscious though!

I wonder how Amy is getting on....

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better abi...well you did want baby to stay put until you did, so maybe baby will make an appearance this weekend. Fingers crossed!

I'm also wondering how Amy is getting on. Hopefully she is getting the birth centre delivery she wanted.

Kerri - I am so the same about changing out my jamas! I have lived in them for a bit now - altho I am in normal clothes today seeing as I am out and about  Hope it won't be too long until your OH arrives to help entertain :)

SmlSave - I don't think she understood too well. My dad came in afterwards to shout at me which was nice  I think they forget I am 32 somedays as I am the youngest of 4... I know I was over defensive and grumpy - but they have previous of not listening to my requests or respecting my wishes so I snapped a bit. Pfft, if its not one thing if your mother....

As for the prolapse, I have similar - a large skin tag/fold/growth at the bottom of my bits. They checked it whilst in early pregnancy in gynae and said to leave it til I give birth as they didn't want to touch it until after then, but during pregnancy its gotten bigger so I mentioned it again. They said it was probably a 'leftover' bit from when they stitched my up after DD (3rd degree) and that the hormones and weight of baby are making it grow - but that they don't want to repair anything now as if I tear again they might have taken away too much iyswim... I don't like it tho :o

Vic - I know - musn't grumble as I couldn't have coped in labour last week :o But I still want to grumble now about being overdue :rotfl: I feel more pressured really - its silly. It will be nice to have a couple of days with DH where he can restore my craziness with normality! I have a sweep booked in Monday so DH will work from home, and I might ask him to work from home most of next week to stop me from panicking so much.

Abis sorry to hear you're frustrated and have fallen out with your mum...although part of me thinks it's a good thing if she's quiet for now, I'm sure she'll be in a rush to make up when there's a new grandchild to coo over ;)

Rummer I've not but I had several to begin with lol a general softening of the face seems to go with pregnancy though

To add to my list of things I never realised could happen- I've had sore pubic bone all day. Very ouch lol

Oh and had an unreasonable cry at my DH for suggesting that I set an alarm rather than rely on him to wake me up from my tactical nap so I can watch hifgny at nine, like he has done the past few weeks. Still not sure why it's so important that he does it lol I don't even need him to now as I've had an hour and now I'm wide awake so should be able to stay up.
Not that it's weird enough in itself that I nap so I can stay up til half nine, ten if I watch man down, then go straight to bed. I'm liable to fall asleep half way through hignfy otherwise which would be a personal catastrophe, it's my favourite show lol

    Right here goes

Midwifery unit wouldn't except me as my waters had been broken for over 18 hours :( got told to go to the manor for 8am to be induced if she didn't turn up before.
Contractions started at 3:20am ish about 10mins apart. But not much else.

Turned up at 8am. Contractions still coming but still only 1cm dilated. Had prostin gel at 9:30ish, then had a check at around 10:30 and was 8cm!!!! Got taken down to the delivery suite, had gas & air for the next 2cm. Had it taken off me to push at around 12 as baby's heart rate was dropping. The remainder of the birth was really good, listened to the midwifes orders and no tears :)
    Bethany Anne was born at 1:10pm :) 8lb 1oz :)

But now the fun really started!!
I started bleeding. Uterus contracting normally, bleed eventually found on my viginal wall. All stitched up - but had lost 2 & 1/2 litres of blood.
Now hooked up to iv saline to help replace blood. And have had allsorts of other iv drugs to help with lowering body temperature & an antibiotics.

Staying in over night with hubby (thankfully). Different tests throughout the night, and final tests in the morning and hopefully be allowed home sometime tomorrow

Sorry for the essay but thought I would write it all out before I forgot any of it :)

Another one here living in my pjs :)

So sorry you and your parents had a 'to-do' today abis21. It sounds like you as the youngest is still seen as the baby of family if they don't respect your wishes

The weight of baby must be causing both our problems to be more trouble  Its not nice having to wait before being given options and I've been really uncomfortable today. There's so many things they don't tell you about third degree tears!

Becca, I think they want me to have a cannula so that they can get fluids in me quickly if I collapse again. With DS they think I lost too much blood and a few hours later my blood pressure dropped.

I understand the reasons behind the cannula and why they want me to have a managed third stage but two midwives have told me that its possible to go to the birth center so I'm going to try my hardest to get that to happen.
