    good luck Amy!

sorry, just had to share this with you all as I'm gobsmacked...a friend of a friend has just had twins. they were born 5 weeks early and weighed 6lbs 12oz and 8lb 1oz.
8lb 1oz as a 5 week premature twin!!! I'm properly properly gobsmacked. apparently she had really bad PGP, I'm not blinking suprised!

BigZ i have the same plan of hoping to store up energy... going round to a friends tomorrow and she wants us there at 7.30, I've been going to bed at that time the past few nights! so saturday will be spent lying and napping on the couch in the hope that i can save all my energy and stay up til oooh, half nine like a dirty stop out lol

Ladies, if anyone has an Angelcare monitor please check your model number. They're recalling certain models without a rigid cord due to two babies dying from strangulation.

Model numbers: AC1100, AC201, AC300, AC401 AC601 and 49255 that did not include rigid cord covers.

Christ TL, they're both really good weights for 5 weeks early as a singleton, never mind a twin! Good lord, I wonder if there's any chance they got dates a bit wrong in the first place?! Must be a relief to the Mum to have them out! :)

I've got a 'late night' planned on Sunday, I might even be home as late as 10.30! Going to the cinema with OH in the morning, to the first showing, so I can get home and have lots of rest before going to my friend's house! :o I love my weekends, I just hate that I seem to spend so much of my free time resting up either recovering from a little trip out to town or getting my energy stored up for a trip out! :p Will be nice to see my friends though, last time everyone got together I had to cancel as I wasn't feeling up for it and spent the night in bed with a hot water bottle instead! :o

That's the thing Birdie- they're IVF twins so there's no doubt of dates! She's a big girl herself but didn't have GD or anything. oooh it makes you want to cross your legs lol

I feel lucky that my energy levels have returned at least in the short term and I have been cleaning like a fiend today, in fact I have even washed down the doors and cleaned the windows :D As long as I do things in little bursts and sit down in between then I seem to be fine. Trying to do the big jobs so that when I am exhausted I just have the wee bits to do to keep things ticking over.

My gran gave me her mums laundry airer which much be comfortably over 100 years old as she wanted to make sure I had plenty of space for drying laundry. It gives me a warm feeling to know that so many generations have used it :D

I can hardly believe it is only 11.30, I am ready for lunch :rotfl:

Aw Rummer that's sweet of your gran <3 x

Thanks for posting about the Angelcare monitors Kerri I was just coming to post but wouldn't find an English link lol! I've got one, tbh we wrapped our cable around the base/ legs of the cot so there was no slack or chance of a LO pulling it so it's very sad to see 2 fatalities :( x

    Good luck Amy! X

Ouch TeamLowe!! Huge babies! Cannot believe they are that big so early?! X

I seem to have found some energy so currently hoovering/ putting washing away/ dusting/ washing up and eating pom bears ;)

Well done to your friend TL :) As they are both of a good size do they have to stay in SBCU for long?

Had my 25 week appointment and completely forgot to ask for my MATB form  Had a different MW as mine is on holiday and she's not so optimistic about me being allowed in the birthing center. Got another consultant appointment in Jan so that we can talk through things as one person tells me I can go there with a canula and another says no way  Wish people would just decide!

Also got told that I have a prolapse :( what fun
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

How frustrating SmlSave! I do wish everyone was on the same page, even when you do find one person telling you what you want to hear, after hearing others dispute it, it must make you second guess the good news?! I forgot to ask about my MatB1 form too (surely the MW should have it on her notes of things to discuss at that appointment?!), ended up having to pick up a blank one from the GP reception and leg it to a drop-in Maternity clinic for the MW to fill in. Got it handed in at work on the last day of the 26 week deadline! :o

Your friend must have just been very lucky to grow big twins TL! How lovely that their IVF journey ended in 2 lovely babies! My friend recently had preemie twins and they're so teeny tiny, one was just under 2lb and the other was 5lb- luckily they've got one girl home now and the other shouldn't be too long before she goes home too. I always thought twins would be lovely but now I know the risks associated, I'm glad I'm just having the one! :o

Got good news from my GP, I've got Chicken Pox immunity so don't have to worry about catching nephew's lurgy. :) Oddly I was the most relaxed one in my family, turns out OH, Mum and SIL have all had sleepless nights worrying... I'm clearly too chilled about these things! :o

Gosh imagine carrying such big twins! and 5 weeks early...happy for them though!

100 yr old airer? Lots of history there....They don't make things that sturdy any more! My airers keep breaking!

Saw the consultant yesterday, no scan but she listened to the heartbeat so that was nice to hear. I keep forgetting to take my notes to midwife and hospital appointments! I'm usually on the ball with things like that...will have to keep them in my bag but it's a quite a big bundle of paper and hope I don't lose them... got "told off" for not having them with me!

My mum came with me yesterday, she wanted to come. I'll be 40 next year but will always be her baby I guess :)

    Good luck to amy!

Oopsies - I just totally bit my mums head off! I've been avoiding seeing her as she did my head in so much when DD was due and she just managed to push every single button going and so I was v defensive and annoyed.

I kind of feel like I 'should' apologise, but then I don't really want to :o Maybe I will leave it and see how I feel in a little while...

Baby still here, which is making me a little grouchy now I must say. Thought I would be cool with being overdue as I 'expected it' but I guess secretly you always wish you won't be. Everything is just making me question and wonder if 'now is the time' kind of thing. I lost a big section of plug yesterday, and was sick, and the day before I had over an hours worth of bigger contractions but still nuffink.

My illnesses are improving - but still slow to improve altho the worst of them are over so I can 'cope' with them now. I'm very bunged up and struggle to get off to sleep and don't have so much energy as I would like - but nothing so hurty as the sinus pain so I am definitely on the mend :j

Am glad its soon the weekend and DH will be close by. I really don't like him being an hour away in the week. Plus it will be nice to spend some time with him. Seems to have been a while cos I have been ill. I've been in at work today which has been nice for a change of scene. I work for my brother, and its only a small firm so I'm still gonna do the paperwork whilst off on maternity. I've laughed lots and its defo been good for mood improving to be out the house and have gotten myself dressed (seem to have lived in jamas for over a week now!)

Hope Amy is getting on ok with the contractions - very excited for you :j

    Yay for immunity Birdie :j

SmlSave - boo for prolapse :( Have the talked through any options with you or are they just keeping an eye on it for now?

Scarlet - Yay for energy! I bet it was from the pom bears - so keep stocked up with them ;)
