    Morning everyone :)

Kerri_dfw this is what a couple of AIO users said about drying their nappies:
"I now hang them on a clothes dryer by the window in the spare room, with all the windows open (and the door shut so we don't freeze). The airflow seems to work well."
"I do an extra spin in the washer to make sure I've got out as much water as possible first"
"the longer it takes to dry the more wee they hold so the longer they last. dry them near to a radiator but not on it as it will melt the waterproof outer. my bamboo and hemp is drying in a day next to the radiator"

    Hope this is helpful

We've opted not to use reusables as our little flat struggles with our washing as it is, the added nappies will turn the place into a sweat box and I really don't want to live in a damp, mouldy flat! :o Would definitely have gone for it if we were in a bigger house with better drying facilities. :)

Got an appointment with the GP tomorrow to get a blood test to check my chicken pox immunity. :) I'm hoping I just had a mild dose of it when I was younger so I'm OK. I'm feeling pretty calm about it as I've come into contact with people carrying it enough times over the last few years so there must be a reason why I haven't caught it, but OH is really panicky. He worries about the baby pretty much all day long as it is (I'm so clumsy he's not exactly easy about me being in charge of the most precious thing in his life! :p) so having this hanging over our heads is making him reallllly nervous, bless him! Really hope I have got the immunity so the worry can stop. :)

Thanks very much for the Pumpkin Patch link and code Abi! Just bought some trousers for me and tiny clothes for Junior! :)

    Morning ladies

Loving the bump pics Vic & Kerri. Bumps do come in all shapes and sizes tho, so try to ignore other peoples comments.

My bump is very different this time to last time too. I was slim when I got pregnant with DD and gained 5.5 stone in pregnancy and I was mahoosive. I didn't fit behind my steering wheel from about 36 weeks, and couldn't wash up as my arms wouldn't reach the bowl (great shame ;)). This time I was overweight to begin with and have gained 2 stone during pregnancy and I don't 'feel' as massive even though I weigh more now than at the end of DD's pregnancy iyswim... In some positions my bump isn't as obvious as others. I don't think I look ready to pop or anything this time. Also with DD I had loads and loads of red/purple stretch marks which had all faded to silver over the years, and this time I have very few ones which have gone red again. I wasn't expecting that - thought they would all go red again.

I haven't been doing any of the gym ball / rlt / pineapple stuff either Vic. I don't think I believe that those things make much difference to when baby is coming or not :o I think they can be a distraction from the waiting, but not necessarily a help in speeding up the process. Certainly I wouldn't ever do anything like castor oil - couldn't think of much worse! And the people who I know who did do things like that - they didn't go in to labour anyways. Its each to their own tho - some people need to feel like they are doing something or do believe in it etc. I just think that it happens when its meant to happen.

I managed another good nights sleep :j:j Still very bunged up and blowing my nose lots - but >such< an improvement already on how I was feeling. I'm very relieved :T

DD is back to her dads now, and was a bit upset that I hadn't had the baby before she went. I've been tearful this morning too. In one way its lots easier if she is at her dads, as we won't need to arrange for anyone to look after her (I do worry about a middle of the night labour as options are limited and none of which I like!) but I do also want her here. :o I said she will be the first to know about it before my mum/MIL etc - and I will be able to speak to her and hopefully she will be able to come and visit depending on her dads plans with her (obviously he can't put his life/plans on hold just in case I have a baby) - but the phoning and visiting is more awkward when she is round there... Bless her, shes been so excited the last few nights she hasn't settled to sleep like she normally does. She has been up a couple of times to 'check on me' and shes thought shes heard a noise :rotfl:

Finch, I have a small case and a bag. It does seem like lots!

Abis, I'm not going to bother either. It's a good excuse for a few of my favourite hot curries though!

Birdie - I'm using disposables too. I just don't fancy cloth nappies - I am so rubbish at getting behind with washing n things anyways so I don't think they would suit me and my circumstances. Hope the blood tests go ok and you have immunity. And yayyy that the code was helpful :j I am looking forward to DDs things arriving. I had a look through all the newborn things too but keep having to remind myself not to buy any more things! We have an awful lot from DD, then bought some extra things for this baby, and then we will probably end up with a few gifts as well. Its sooo tempting when you see something ultra cute though!!

Vic - I couldn't handle the heartburn that would come with a hot curry :rotfl: Altho it might blast away some of my cold germs!! We have been DTD still, but not for baby eviction purposes - altho I have put a ban on it at night time as I was up twice in the night with bad contractions when we had DTD so now its been moved to a morning activity!! And typically no contractions follow a morning session, so that's probably been a coincidence on a night time, but I couldn't face risking any more sleepless nights. :o At least not til I have a baby to coo over

Kerri and Vic you have lovely neat bumps :)

I spoke to mum before about how big I felt and my concerns about the weight I've put on and said 'but its not gone on anywhere other than my belly, my hips and thighs and bum haven't grown' and she said 'yeah, youre bigger in the face but all pregnant women get that'. Thanks mum lol

Abi thank you for sharing how much you put on, I'm up 2.5 stone so far and feel like a fat greedy failure for it :( but if you put on more starting from being slim then maybe it is just luck of the draw how your body does each pregnancy. Hope that doesn't sound offensive :s

That's a lovely bump TL! :) I think everyone's different and we just have to make our peace with that. I've put on 17lb so far which feels *OK* (even if it does mean I'm heavier than OH now!). It doesn't seem to have gone on my (already plentiful!) hips or bum yet, people keep commenting on my 'neat bump' but it still feels like it's going to spread at some point, I don't like that I can feel a layer of podge over my bump either! It doesn't help that people say 'Just remember that what you gain, you have to lose afterwards!'... that's just what I want to be worrying about, thanks! :p OH was laughing at me the other night as I've had another growth spurt (ouch!) and he said that I must be so used to letting it all hang out now it'll be difficult to go back to trying to stand tall and suck it in to look slimmer like I used to! :p

Having a day off work tomorrow - looking forward to it! Was originally planning to do a market research thing, but that doesn't seem to be happening so will do some housework and maybe christmas shopping and just take it easy.
Had a bit of a horrible evening last night, having got worried about whooping cough jab still giving me a painful arm, I foolishly googled it at work and came up with some horrible answers. Burst into tears when i walked through the door. The reality (and the NHS advice) is that there are risks to having it and risks to not having it, but its so hard not to panic. Hubby was great thankfully. I have a midwife appointment on Monday so that will be a good reassurance that all is well.
We're in a flat too, so unfortunately for the environment it'll be disposable nappies for us. Thanks for sharing your bump photos - I will try and do one this week. I'm 30 weeks now and it took a while to get past looking chubby, but now I do look obviously pregnant. I'm normally a size 16 anyway and above average height, so I imagine it took longer to show than if I was really slim or really short. We're all different, its all fine!
My antenatal classes start Monday (NCT) so I'm looking forward to asking them all the questions on supplements, raspberry leaf tea etc. I think I will ask the course leader about a hypnobirthing book recommendation too if she seems to be in the know about that sort of thing. I don't really have time/money for a full hypnobirthing course, but I like the idea of using techniques to stay calm in birth and can ask for a book for christmas.

Oh dear, hormones have just attacked! :o Had to leg it to the loo for a surprise cry brought on by feeling ever so slightly frustrated over a bit of work. Now trying to hide the tell tale red eyes of shame and having to stop myself from coming out with little sobs. :o Felt like crying all over again when I got back to my desk as my colleague had been very nice and put 3 Roses choccies on my desk... but they're not the ones I'd have picked out so I'm really disappointed! Pull it together woman!!! :p
