    I've been Money Tipped!
I guess I just didn't expect it this early!!! Thank you :) xx
First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14 :D
  • Hi ladies,
Little girl arrived 5.08am, 14th Nov, 7lbs6oz. Not sure on name yet.
Crazy labour, waters broke at 2am, ended up in an ambulance as car broke down 1/2way to hospital. Only at hospital 17mins & she was out!

Lots of stitches/tearing as her arm was next to head. She's doing really well, me not so much. Very shocked & never planned a drugless birth!
Congratulations and I'm glad she wasn't as big as you were worried about.

    Congratulations Money Saving!

Lily I hope baby perks up and all the results and monitoring are reassuring

    Good luck Amy :)

I'm mainly lurking as I'm flipping between moody/hormonal/anxious/achey/exhausted/all of the above, so not the best company ;)

So close to finishing hospital bags now. Just got to get a toothbrush, small toothpaste, small shower gel and puff/sponge! All of baby's stuff is sorted. I've put in three baby grows and three sleep suits, two newborn and one 0-3 months. Is that ok?

I think I managed to add everyone on to the list ok - but let me know if I missed anyone out...

    Congratulations MSM :j

Hope things are progressing for you Amy85

Lily - Hope everything is going ok with the tests. Let us know how you get on - I do worry for the ladies from the TTC threads and like to keep an eye on you all xx

BZ - you will be in good company on this thread I'm sure. We all get it :o

Vic - it all kind of depends how long you are in for and what kind of baby you have if you see what I mean. With DD I was in hospital for 3 days, but she wasn't sickly or poopy, so didn't need changing often. I would say that you have plenty in your bag for now, but they often recommend putting another bag in the boot in case you have a longer stay than expected. I also doubt you will need the 0-3 month stuff at first. DD was 8lb9oz and was in newborn stuff for a month or so.

I don't have a name yet either - can't remember who was talking about it. I'm due in 2 days and we have a kind of short list but I don't 'love' any of them.

I also am still v poorly  Freaking out about not having energy to even shower (I am still showering or bathing but it is a mahoosive struggle) let alone giving birth in the next few days. I can't breathe on a night so I am getting so little sleep. I tried napping yesterday but I kept waking myself up as soon as I dropped off with the massive snores I was doing :o

My contractions are ramping up a gear all the time and becoming more painful when I do get them. Not really wishing for labour until I am better now tho! I had originally hoped I wouldn't be 10 days late again - but that's looking like a better option (not that I get to pick, lol!) now as at least I might actually get some rest and feel ok before the birth.

Thanks abi. We live around a 5 minute drive from hospital so DH can easily go back for extra clothing. My parents also have to drive past our house to get to the hospital. I'm worried that little one will be tall (I'm quite tall) so may need longer clothes IYSWIM.

Good luck with the contractions. I hope you feel much better really soon xx

Booked in for a sweep at the midwifery led unit at 2pm :) wish me luck.

Glad I'm booked in there cuz my own midwife said that they can't do one till I'm 5 days over, which considering they know I'm booked in at unit and they know that if I get induced I can't go there, is pretty bad. You would have thought try to get as many women as possible to labour naturally without induction.

Good luck Amy! I'm booked in for a sweep at 39+6 with my midwife. Seems daft that they haven't done the same for you considering that our gps are in the same health authority.

Look forward to reading updates very soon! Xx

  • Thank you for adding me to the list abis x

I had a productive day yesterday, found the cot in the in laws garage, although the bolts have vanished so will need to get replacements somewhere. I've wiped it down and just need to find somewhere to stash it as its too early to build yet.

Unfortunately my pram is all mouldy, so that's being taken to the dump. I'm going to have to start hunting for a new one :-(
