Does it make a difference with a CS? I always thought it was only something that affected vaginal births?

No position doesn't matter for CS but her position is causing me a lot of pain now as she's further back but with limbs all stuck out front. I will have a bounce on my ball later see if she'll move a bit! X

Yay congratulations MoneySaving! Sorry to hear the birth wasn't straight forward but glad she is ok! She was a nice weight too x

    MSM congratulations :)

Lily sorry to hear you're having problems but glad they're trying their best for you. Also pleased to see you're 34 weeks, to me that's getting into safe territory as my mum and her two sisters had their first babies six weeks early and you'd never tell, especially my cousins who are both strapping 6ft odd men lol

AFM I've knackered myself out walking round the Manchester Christmas Markets but it was totally worth it :) didn't buy anything but had a bratwurst and mini Dutch pancakes which are so lush lol

Jealous of all the nursery decorating going on, we're waiting until beginning of December when DH has a few days off.

Got paid yesterday so need to start picking up the more practical things like mattresses and toiletries lol I want us to be ready nice and early due to the aforementioned family habit of early first babies, although I have tried to explain to little miss that she's a 2014 baby so has no business even thinking of making her entrance in 2013 lol

Congratulations MSM! Hugs to Lily and anyone else who needs them. Some friends of ours had their baby last night, three weeks early! A little boy, Noah. Didn't think it was possible to get MORE broody but have somehow managed it!
Hubby went off to see a car with his Dad today, thought it was a dead cert but he wasn't happy with it in the flesh (it had been modified) so we're back to looking again :( Thankfully my shopping trip to the high street was more successful and I came home with one bump band, two bras (a new size again!), cords and a dressy t-shirt plus some toiletries.
Out with a few girlfriends in town tonight, feet up now with the hope I can stay awake past ten o clock!

  • Lily - Take good care of yourself. We are all rooting for you and your little girl.

MSM - CONGRATULATIONS. Can't wait to see the pics.

emmz118 - My LO does exactly the same when my OH puts his hand on my bump. The only time he feels him moving is when we lay cuddling in bed and he kicks his belly.

I am very jealous of all the ladies who have names already. We haven't got a clue.

Started the home blood testing for the Gestational Diabetes. Now have an ultra bland diet as I REALLY want to avoid being medicated/having a giant baby/or him ending up in an incubator with hypoglycemia. My number of appointments just tripled as now I have midwives/dieticians/diabetic clinics/and extra monitoring. My poor OH is running himself ragged trying to cover all my work on the farm and get everything done early enough to make all my appointments:(

Congratulations MSM - sorry to hear that things didn't go expected, but pleased to hear that your little girl is doing so well.

Big hugs Lily, what are they testing for? Hopefully you'll get some answers soon and they'll be as reassuring as possible.

Firefly, it sounds as though your OH is being an absolute star - I hope the home monitoring shows no concerns and that the rest of your pregnancy is as straight-forwards as possible.

AFM, having lots of BH along with back ache so I have a very nervous-looking DH :rotfl: We've decided on a name for a while, and have now chosen a middle name to go with it... seems all very real now!

    Congratulations moneysavingmama :) xx

Vic - still nothing from me :( midwife shouldn't have said anything - had got my hopes up. 3.5mile dog walk over the chase this morning doesn't appear to have done anything. Will keep you all posted xx

Completely normal Becca and not linked to anything scary or unusual - you're at no higher risk of premature delivery or problems with breastfeeding (not sure if that's what you were worried about, but it's what I was so thought I'd answer anyway :rotfl:)
