I had to get new nursing bras yesterday. They look huge but there's room for a breast pad and a bit of growing space. I've got a starter pack of formula, just in case. I'm just going to wear leggings when I get out. I doubt that I will care what I look like!

Hello, popping back across (I miss this thread).

I have fallen in love with my nursing bras, they will become like a second skin to you...

I recommend getting a night/sports bra-esque one for sleeping in though as you will find a need to keep covered to stop leakage but that your boobs will forge an escape plan from a normal nursing bra and you'll wake up with a pad stuck to the back of your arm etc. etc. ... so maybe not that exact scenario, but the night ones are generally a lot more comfortable to sleep in :)

I'd also recommend a top to go with those leggings your planning on wearing as your going home outfit ;)

Hope everything is going well for you ladies :) Looking forward to the baby boom late November, quiet spell recently!
  • Would someone add me to the lists please? I'm rubbish at that sort of thing. I'm expecting a boy, due 3rd March. Thanks :)

It's making it all a lot more real being among you ladies who are not far from meeting your little ones.

My main symptom is exhaustion at the moment which can be a bit frustrating as there's so much I want to do. DD2 is such a good wee thing. I'm hoping no. 3 is even more laid back, fingers crossed. DD1 was really hard work - luckily I was a lot younger when I had her.

Birdie - I think nosebleeds are supposed to be a pregnancy symptom. It's not a glamourous time is it!

We've decided on a name but going to keep it secret until he is here! My back ache has got worse...feels like AF is going to arrive.

AF back-ache is a good sign of things starting! I'm sure I've read that somewhere, that if you get backache with AF that's how the start of things can feel :)

we're the same re: names, as I just know how everyone will comment, although I think it's beautiful so don't think there will be anything negative to say lol
my sister has already said if she doesn't like the name she'll just call the baby something different, which goes down well with me as you can probably guess.

We've picked our name but not telling people. We had so much input from the start from both families wanting to 'win' with having us use their family names that I threw a strop and refused to use any family names apart from OH's as the middle name! :p Love the name we've picked, hope it suits him. :) Can't see anyone not liking it but not running the risk of hearing any opinions until it's too late and all they can say is 'Ahhh, lovely!' :p

  • Hello everyone, can I be added a day early to the list? I'm 24 weeks tomorrow ( where has the time gone!) I have a blue bump due the 8th march. I'm mainly just lurker and don't post often, but I've been reading the 'big thread' since getting my BFP.

Thanks for the tip about the sleeping bras.

I can't go home in leggings, nursing bra and dressing gown? :p

Yeah, I feel like things are changing slowly. I'm soooo anxious though. All I can think about is giving birth and that I don't really know what to expect. Fear of the unknown I think.

A little update for you, nothing exciting though I'm afraid :(
The midwife at appointment yesterday thought that with the tightenings I was getting and the fact that baby's head was 1/5 engaged, baby would be making her escape either last night or today :( still no baby.

Had a really lousy night last night too, tmi alert, was in and out of bathroom all night, both ends :( which should be a good sign but still no baby :(

Tightenings today have been getting very uncomfortable but no patterns yet. Think I have be having a very slow start to my labour :(

Sorry was a bit of a woe is me post but feeling pretty pants

Amy Hugs. It sounds as if you are having a tough time and I don't blame you in the slightest for complaining. It does sound as if your body is gearing up for labour even if it is taking its time about it.

Our name fight is ongoing and there are no names that we both like which is becoming increasingly frustrating. Hubby is happy to wait and see however I would like a wee short list of names to choose from once we have met him instead of trying to pluck names from the ether.

The painting is tantalisingly close to being finished but hubby has had to go out and it looks as though it will be tomorrow at the earliest before the painting bit is done :( I have done a bit myself but the remaining bits are behind heavy bits of furniture that I am too sensible to move. Technically I could make a start on the wood work but I don't want to. In fact I think I might just have to start washing some of the time clothes that are demanding my attention…..
