I'm feeling very inadaquete after all these posts about decorating the nursery, I have no intentions of doing out our spare bedroom, currently my computer and work room, until the baby is at least 5 months old! She'll be sleeping in our room anyway till 6 months-ish so I want to keep my me space for as long as possible!

:o I may be highly motivated to get the nursery done as it was due to be a dining/craft room and I am keeping the dining table as a crafting space in there until my baby is old enough to argue against it :rotfl:

Please don't feel bad Durham_girl, we had to decorate as the room had been trashed by having my little sister, her boyfriend and my nephew living in there for several months... Even so, we've done as little as possible, baby won't be in there for 6 months or so anyway. It's more for her *things* than for her :grouphug:
  • Thanks BigZippy I've picked up some of that cream. Worth a try! My stupid DH he should know how glamorous pregnancy is! Well done on XMAS shopping, I've almost finished ours just need stocking filler type presents x

    Good luck Money Saving! X

Lol Birdie you do have a way with words!! Thankfully my boobs aren't leaking and my bump is fluff free but I think I'd swap the piles for them any day! I had a hairy bump with my son I always thought it was a boy thing but maybe not! X

Amyloofoo I can't do any 'personal grooming' either, I have no idea what it even looks like down there! Will get DH go help me before I go into hospital. He helped me shave my legs last week as I just can't reach! X

Lovely bump Becca :) I must take a final bump photo!

Durham girl I wouldn't feel inadequate! We never decorated my son's 'nursery' it was still half office half nursery when we moved.. this time I say decorating the nursery but I haven't painted just put up stickers, changed curtains, and cleared out boxes as the room was full of boxes (dumping room when we moved!) I'm going to add a lamp shade and rug when I find some I like but it's been such a basic makeover! Hardly decorating! Struggling to find a shade and rug to go with woodland theme that isn't too pink! X

Hope everyone is ok tonight? I must go to bed. My son's been poorly again so no nursery, I feel exhausted! I was hoping to relax these last couple of weeks, hopefully he will be better soon hate seeing him like this :(

I managed to paint most of the spare room yesterday, one wall needs a second coat as it was dark blue and he needs to take apart his PC so I can paint the wall behind it. OH is happy with what I've done though and only took me about 3hrs :)Had a massive meltdown last night, these hormones really are getting to me, I was inconsolable, arguing with OH and spent about 3hrs in tears. I remember as a teenager I wasn't very good with my hormones and I'm finding it really hard having to deal with the late pregnancy ones. I know I've only a few more weeks of them left, but if anyone has any tips on trying to cope with the rollercoaster between anger and crying I'm all ears :)

  • Hugs Kerri xx unfort I don't think there's a lot you can do :/ I try to have a bit of time to myself reading/ soak in the bath but it's practically impossible with a child and DH who works away :( other than that fresh air, chocolate and just letting the tears flow! I've had issues with my temper over past 2 weeks I know it's mainly tiredness I feel like the days I have a nap I feel much more in control. I do think letting you're feelings out works best, I have been known to go upstairs for a moment where I just close doors have a good cry/ scream and shout then I feel human again! Xx

Well done with the painting Kerri. :T

Can't help with the hormones, I think we just have to ride the waves as they come. :o I've been really giggly for some reason the past couple of days, last night I was reading a link that a FB friend had posted that listed a load of auto-correct 'fails' and even though I've seen it before I was laughing so hard it hurt, just couldn't stop! :p When OH came home I did something silly just as we were getting into bed and got the giggles again, then I started thinking about the site I'd been reading and laughed even harder! No idea where the giggles came from but I'd rather that than the uncontrolled sobbing I've had in previous weeks! :)

I noticed in the shower last night that it's getting more difficult to shave my legs, can't see OH being cool with helping me out there! Might have to look into waxing when I can't reach anymore! :o

Oh and baby is still being a total wriggly bum! Had me wide awake at 3am and I couldn't get back to sleep because he just wouldn't settle down. He's still at it now! Even tried shutting him up with a bacon sarnie but no luck! ;)

    Hi, all, happy Friday!

I had a big sob session in the loos at work kerri the other day, I'm feeling sidelined, marginalised, ignored, unappreciated etc so had a big blub at the end of the day then went home and felt better!

My boss asked me yesterday to write down the process of something I do every month, "incase you drop dead" er thanks for that, god he's a horror! I did nearly get pushed infront of an underground train yesterday so must stay out of danger!

So far I have the moses basket for £10, will get a stand from a facebook group for £6.50 and will collect a quinny speedi tomorrow from the same fb group for £40, hope it's ok!

Won't buy anythng else for a while though there is a Baby & Children Nearly New Sale in a church hall near me in north London tomorrow that I might have a stroll around!

Hope you all have a relaxing weekend

I have all the baby bits I am planning on buying but I am going to do a big toiletries/medicine order from Boots for both baby and me :D As I am due Jan/Feb and the weather in not predicted to be great I want to make sure that any essentials I need are in the house.

All I can focus on now is saving for maternity leave, I can hardly believe that it will be starting so soon and all the chances for saving up will be gone  In the main I feel my pregnancy has dragged by but in relation to saving it has flown past :(

Yes you must! Hope you are feeling ok? I feel huge! I just need to find a small bottle of shampoo, some bras and something to wear when I come out (really not sure what). My bag (well case!) is very full but I've got 3 days worth for me and baby then obviously sheets, blanket, towel, bottles, ready made formula etc. x
