Amyloofoo I cannot thank your post enough times! I feel so much more informed now, will do a little more research & see what happens st my consultant appointment in jan. I only wish my midwife was as informed as you xxxx
Vic & Amy - hope things happen for you soon x

Morning ladies.
No more plug loss. Had bad contractions for an hour or so in the night but they didn't progress in to anything.
Still feeling poorly - lots of pressure in ny head, eyes, top of nose etc. Didn't sleep brill but slightly better than the night before.
Having reduced movements which is freaking me out altho I can feel baby every now and then - it is a lot less than usual. Don't know if thats the calm before the storm (as in labour) or whether my being ill is effecting baby.
Have booked in with the docs in an hour and have eaten something sugary and had a cold and hot drink to try and encourage movements before my appt.

Congratulations MSM! :j So glad she wasn't a giant baby!
Glad you're back home Lily, hope that things progress smoothly now so you can stay out of the hospital!
Good news that the sweep was OK Amy, hope things happen for you soon.
Hope that your baby stays put until you're feeling better Abi!
Can't believe it's Monday already and I'm back at work. Booooo! Weekends go by far too quickly, especially when I'm too tired to get my money's worth out of them!

Congratulations MSM that's a lovely weight
sorry things didn't go according to plan though. Do we get a picture?
Lily - glad you're back home now, I can't begin to imagine how worrying all this is for you. Let's hope little one behaves from now on x
Amy - glad the sweet went well and congrats on being a boldie
Abis - hope you start to feel better soon, have you tried the steaming bowl of water to ease congestion in your head? I always find a lovely hot shower with the door & window closed really helps when I'm feeling poorly. Hope little one starts wriggling away for you soon.
AFM - I'm waiting for furniture to arrive today and tomorrow, need to finish painting the spare room and start painting the dining room. I've got a man coming to plane the front door, fix the bath and look at the mould in the bedroom in about half an hour, so I best get dressed!
I now sleep on top of a double folded duvet, under the duvet, with a wedge pillow to support the bump. I've only got a neat little bump, but trying to get comfortable at night is just impossible with our extra firm mattress otherwise. Managed to sleep all the way through until 6:30am which was amazing, then went back for a snooze after OH left for work at 8amJust over a week left of work, then we're going on our babymoon C.A.N.N.O.T W.A.I.T!

Faith, I hope you manage to get some answers from the midwife - hopefully your placenta is moving by itself and Dr Google hasn't scared you too much about the amniotic band. I think it's one of those conditions where you only tend to hear about the worst case scenarios rather than the vast majority of cases where everything is fine :grouphug: Hope you managed to get some better sleep and the BH have eased.
Vic - hope your Christmas shopping goes well and baby waits for long enough for you to finish! How exciting though, definitely sounds as though it won't be too long.
Amy - really glad your sweep went well and wasn't as uncomfortable as expected. I hope you managed to get some sleep and that you're not a boldie for long :grouphug:
Becca, glad it was some help, hopefully you'll get a well informed and sympathetic consultant. Can't believe you're 25 weeks already, it feels like yesterday that you got your BFP! It's so lovely to see so many of the TTC ladies graduating onto the various threads.
Abis, sorry to hear about the reduction in movements and hope it's nothing to worry about. Hopefully baby will decide to get their wriggle on now you've had a drink and something sugary. Glad you managed to get a little more sleep and hope baby hangs on for long enough for you to feel better and more rested.
Birdie - how long do you have back at work now? Hopefully they're being very gentle with you and letting you take it as easy as possible.
AFM, I have a midwife appointment this morning (34 weeks) which is just as well as I'm getting lots of pressure down below as well as continuing to lose plug, bad headaches, lots of heartburn, BH and have started vomiting again (sorry for TMI) - the poor midwife won't know what to do with me :rotfl: Add to this that despite being head down at all my previous appointments, baby now appears to be transverse, she's going to be as contrary as her Mum!
I'll be interested to see what bump's measuring today as she's been growing on a curve that's steeper than the 90th centile so if she's measuring big again today I should be sent for a growth scan. I have a consultant appointment at 36 weeks anyway (when I should be finding out section date) so presumably they'd just do it at the same time?
As much as all that sounds whingy, I'm actually pretty cheerful at the moment and have finally got the house (almost!) ready for baby which is making me all content... Can't wait for baby to arrive now, I finally feel prepared! :j0 -
Hope the midwife appointment goes well Amyfooloo xxDS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

I have sinusitis and a chest infection so no wonder I feel poop! Got antibiotics which will be safe for me and baby even in labour etc.
Went to local midwife about reduced movements but they've sent me to big hospital for monitoring so en route there now. DH is with me as I had a feeling they might ask to do this so he was gonna work from home - might end up being a holiday day tho depending how long we're in for....
Am not over worried for now as there are some movements - just seems like lethargic ones and not as many as normal. Best to be safe and get it all checked.Married my lobster in July 2011

Just 9 weeks left! :j Work are being good with me, being a lot more lenient about deadlines recently since I'm so clearly out of it most of the time they're lucky I remember to come in at all!Really looking forward to finishing but getting increasingly scared about what's coming at the end of the countdown!
Do the MW appointments get any better the further along you go? Got my 28w one tomorrow and so far they've felt like a bit of a waste of time, check my wee and BP, listen to heartbeat, ask how I'm doing but not actually offer any advice for anything I bring up, no mention of any ante-natal classes or BF workshops or anything like that which seems really weird. I missed my 22w check up (I'd lost my list of which weeks to see the MW and didn't realise I'd skipped an appointment until after my 25w check up and noticed ladies mentioning 22w on here!) and they weren't even bothered. I'm glad that there's nothing worrying about my pregnancy so I am pretty much in-and-out but it is making me feel a little unsupported.

Birdie 22 weeks isn't on the list of appointments I've got, nor is it on the website
http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/Pages/antenatal-appointment-schedule.aspx
however they did do a check up at clinic after my anamoly scan so it's probably wrapped up in that. looking at that list they don't get much more exciting and i got the list of antenatal classes and the breastfeeding workshop at the booking in with the bounty pack. for some reason in my area they're called 'Parentcraft' so I didn't realise they were the antenatal classes lol
Little lady is in an uncomfortable position for sitting down, great when i have a desk job lol keep wiggling my hips when i walk in the hope that'll convince her to move, I've no idea if it would though lol
Oh and I'm not loving this 'in the third trimester you'll sleep lightly' nonsense. I sooo miss a deep sleep, especially with a fidgety husband and cat lol
Abis booo to being ill so close to giving birth! you'll have to ask your little one to wait a few days - I did when my mum asked me, my sister had a severe allergic reaction the day I was due so she asked me to wait until she was better, and I did, I was 3 days late
ETA: I didn't go for a 28 week check up with the midwife as they did the bloods and the check up at my GTT testLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
