Just found out the birthday boy (2 yrs old) from the party we went to yesterday has come out in chicken pox. My rubella immunity has expired, does anyone know what I should be looking out for. All I can remember is the letter telling me to stay away from kids with the pox. I've had chicken pox before when I was little though. He gave me a kiss when we went to leave, other than that I didn't touch him and most of the day I was stood away from the children.0

All was fine with baby earlier. Went on the trace machine for 30 mins or so and heartbeat was steady even through a contraction so am pleased with that. Baby was very lethargic compared to normal tho - movements were very muted. I had an afternoon snooze at 3pm or so and since then baby has been back to full on punches to the cervix and wiggles - so very relieved about that.
Just hoping the antibiotics kick in soon so I can get fit and rested ready for labour now.
As for the midwife chatter - mine have all been open to any questions I had for them - but they don't particularly initiate any subjects. Mine haven't asked me about any domestic violence issues or anything but for any question I have had for them they have been very good with me. I really like all the midwives I have seen and I like the way I am treated, but I'm not an overly anxious person so that might make a difference to how I view things

Really pleased the hospital visit went well. Hopefully baby will give you a while to rest and get better.
My midwife experience has been the same. Nothing is too much trouble. I've seen the same one all the way from 8 weeks. She's lovely and answers any questions I've got.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Hello!
Sorry, not read back but just before I drop off the list , I gave birth 4 days early on the 18 Oct to a bouncing baby boy - 7lb 7 oz . It's true what they say about second labours bring super quick! I absolutely love him and he's slotted into our family quite nicely and I can't believe how chilled out I am second time round.
Hope you all enjoy the remainder of your pregnancies x0 -
Congrats miffymoo! What's his name? X
I've tried three times to update the list but I keep managing to mess the numbers up. Hopefully someone intelligent will be along soon to sort it out.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
:j Lovely news Miffymoo!
Hugs to the ladies feeling under the weather. I had a full on day today and coped ok so I am clearly on the mendGoing to be very busy over the next few weeks so I doubt there will be much baby stuff going on, I will will just need to give myself lots of TLC and rest when I can.
Been letting the housework lapsenow I need to put in some elbow grease to get it sorted before it goes too far

Congratulations miffy moo
Welcome Tiger
Hope the antibiotics kick in fast Abi
Birdie they did ask me at the twenty something week appointment about the classes and checked back with me at the following one whether I'd sorted it. They even wrote in my notes that they'd asked etc. I really need to book my hospital tour in though

Yay you fixed it! Thanks big zippy
you've put me to shame managing to update it on your phone. I couldn't get it right and I was on an iPad.

Congratulations Miffymoo, glad it was a quick one for you
Thanks BWP, I'll give the MW a call this morning (what time do they open I wonder?) and let them know just to be on the safe side although I'm sure I'm immune as I had it as a child.
vic - at least you tried to do the list, I think I'd do it wrong everytime if I even looked at it
AFM - terrible nights sleep, woke up about 4 times for a widdle. I think we had the heating on too long yesterday and the bedroom was just too hot. We've got furniture arriving today thoughand I did manage to finish painting the spare room, so that's another room we can tick off the list hurrah! Just the dining room to go now
Hugs to those that need them xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

My MW appointment this morning was a bust.
Turned up and there was no-one there, 30 minutes later a stand-in comes in explaining that she's not sure what she's doing/where she's going etc and the crowd of people waiting kept growing so I decided to make an appointment for next week instead!
Kerri, we've got a chicken pox scare in our family currently too.We saw my nephew on Sunday, lots of cuddles and kisses as always and he was fine, he woke up with his back covered in spots yesterday which the doctor says is probably chicken pox but they're to keep an eye on how it's developing before calling it. Neither me nor OH have had chicken pox so we're hoping we've escaped it/he hasn't actually got it!
Was going to mention it to the MW at my appointment this morning but since she didn't turn up I'll give her a call at some point, I doubt there's a lot that can be done at this stage.

blimey Kerri, you're making me feel tired with all your decorating! me and DH were very lazy and bought a house that was already lovely decorated in a style we like, so there's only baby's room to do. people keep coming round and complimenting our excellent taste
Hope the blood tests show everything is ok for you
I feel really smug that I only woke once in the night last night, you'd think baby was already here lol
AND last night I stood up to a medical profesional, which is a very big deal for me as i'm far too deferential lol i say stood up to, it was a new patient healthcheck and she wanted to weigh me and i said 'fine, but i don't want to know what i weigh'. well big brave and strong me :rotfl:
have tomorrow booked off to use up leave, think I'm guna go get all my hair chopped off - there's just too much of it! lol
ETA: Birdie sorry to hear it was a bust, not very helpful at all considering your existing worries about the care you've had and surely they can't just forget about a clinic - they're usually the same time every week!Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
